SECOND SCHEDULE
AREAS DECLARED TO BE WILDLIFE REFUGES UNDER THE
WILDLIFE ACT 1953

  1. Area at Hamurana: All that area of approximately 280
    acres in Blocks V and IX, Rotoiti Survey District, being the
    whole of the Hamurana Stream, and the part of Lake Rotorua
    within a radius of half a mile of the middle of the mouth
    of that stream.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/28 deposited
    in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington,
    and thereon edged red.
  2. Matata Lagoon: All that area of 108 acres, more or less,
    known as the Matata Lagoon, being Section 4, Block VI,
    Awaateatua Survey District, C.S.O. Plan 24616.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/60 deposited
    in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington,
    and thereon edged red.
    Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General,
    and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
    this 31st day of March 1958.

    Approving the Term of the Licence Granted to the Alliance
    Freezing Co. (Southland) Ltd. for a Tramway Across
    Roads in the County of Southland

    ORDER IN COUNCIL
    At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 8th day of
    April 1958
    Present:
    THE RIGHT HON. W. NASH PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
    PURSUANT to the Tramways Act 1908 and the Tramways
    Amendment Act 1910, His Excellency the Governor-General,
    acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
    Council, hereby approves the term of the licence granted for
    a period of twenty-one years from the 20th day of December
    1956 by the Southland County Council to the Alliance
    Freezing Co. (Southland) Ltd., a duly registered company
    having its registered office at Invercargill, authorising the
    said company to maintain a private tramway along and
    across Russell Road, Steele Road, and Crowe Road in the
    County of Southland, the position of such tramway being
    more particularly shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 154843
    deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

    advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
    to the Franklin County Council stopping the road described in
    the Schedule hereto.

    and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares

    Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
    be a motorway.
