WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act 1924, the Public Works Act 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Antico Street and Caprera Street in the City of Wellington and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington containing by admeasurement one (1) acre and six and six-tenths (6·6) perches, more or less, being part of Section 5, Evans Bay District, being those parts of Deposited Plan No. 358, described as “Antico Street” and “Caprera Street” and being also the balance of the land in certificate of title, Volume 184, folio 164, Wellington Registry.

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

THE public notice under the above heading, published in the Gazette of 27 February 1958, page 269, is hereby revoked, and the following notice substituted:

WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council, at its meeting held on the 15th day of November 1955, has resolved to prepare for the County of Waikato a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme is to be prepared in seven sections in accordance with the Schedule hereto.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Waikato County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered to the Clerk’s office on or before the 10th day of June 1958.

Section 2, Waikato County Rural Area.
Section 3, Huntly.
Section 4, Te Kauwhata.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to section 2 (2) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, public notice is hereby given that application has been made to rezone, as commercial, the property described as Lot 1, D.P. 41873, and situated at 190 Stoddard Road, Mount Roskill. The present zoning of this property is industrial.

Any objections to the rezoning of this property must be in writing, and must be lodged with the Town Clerk, at the Municipal Chambers, Three Kings, before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, 29 April 1958.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Reconstruction Loan (No. 2) 1957, £39,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-nine thousand pounds (£39,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstructing Connolly and Mills Streets, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four hundred and three thousandths of a penny (·403d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 24th day of February 1958.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Streets Extension Loan (No. 3) 1957, £10,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending Swainson Street, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-four thousandths of a penny (·054d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 24th day of February 1958.

PICTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1957, £3,260

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Picton Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of three thousand two hundred and sixty pounds, authorised to be raised by the Picton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting pensioners’ flats, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of a penny (¼d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable properties within the Borough of Picton, which if required, shall be appropriated as security for the purpose of payment of interest and principal of the said loan and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Picton Borough Council held on the 20th day of March 1958.
