FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

THE following resolution was passed by the Feilding Borough Council at a meeting held on the 6th day of March 1958:

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Feilding Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest on a loan of £9,200 authorised to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting Pensioners’ Flats, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one two eight of a penny (·128d.) in the pound upon the rateable property in the Borough of Feilding; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan being a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Reconstruction Loan 1950, £134,000

THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Lynn Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,500 authorised to be raised by the New Lynn Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for roading purposes, the said New Lynn Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point two pence (·2d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of New Lynn; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 30th day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER

Loan No. 23, 1957, £3,000,000, 1st Issue, £1,000,000

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Act 1944, and its amendments, and in pursuance of the authority conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate as a special order, to borrow the sum of £1,000,000 (one million pounds) as a special loan and to be portion of a special loan known as Loan No. 23, 1957, £3,000,000, to be applied for the purpose of continuing the construction of the first stage works of the Manukau main drainage scheme for the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage District, and meeting costs and expenses and carrying out works connected with, or incidental to, the scheme.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on the 5th day of February 1958. It was publicly notified in the Auckland Star on the 22nd day of February 1958, and the 15th day of March 1958, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Board held on the 18th day of March 1958.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board was hereto affixed this 18th day of March 1958 in the presence of—

OTAGO CENTRAL ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

AMENDING A PREVIOUS RESOLUTION STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE

THE Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That the resolution passed on the 26th day of February 1957, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and published in Gazette, No. 28, 11 April 1957, making a special rate of three twenty-fifths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otago Central Electric Power District, be amended by adding the following words ‘And shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off’.”

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand. The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

The following publications are obtainable from the Government Printer, at Wellington and Christchurch or through the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

Free Postage: All publications sold by the Department are now post free—except that when trade discount is allowed, postage or freight is payable by the purchaser.
