TAURANGA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1957, ₤50,000
In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) it thereby enabling, the Tauranga County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Tauranga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-twentieths of one penny 3/20d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Tauranga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Tauranga County Council held on the 13th day of December 1957.

TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Timaru City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of ₤262,000 to be known as the Reservoir Loan 1957, authorised to be raised by the Timaru City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a new water reservoir and works ancillary thereto, the said Timaru City Council hereby makes a special rate of ninety-four hundredths of a penny (0.94d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Timaru and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of of the said loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until such loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Timaru City Council held on the 24th day of December 1957.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ₤30,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act (which said loan is the sixth and final issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1953, of ₤300,000) for the purpose of the construction, reconstruction, and surface sealing of streets, and the construction of footpaths, and kerbing, and channelling, and the provision of stormwater drains, the said New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five over thirty-two parts of a penny (5/32d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth (excluding, however, the area included in the City by Order in Council made on 8 August 1955 and published in the Gazette, No. 52, of 11 August 1955, at page 1258); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be repayable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 23rd day of December 1957.

HUNTLY BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Flats Supplementary Loan 1957, ₤500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Huntly Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds (£500) authorised to be raised by the Huntly Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, the said Huntly Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought one seven (0.017) pence in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Huntly; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WAIUKU BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL RATE FOR SECURITY
Housing Loan 1957, ₤3,600
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waiuku Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of ₤3,600 authorised to be raised by the Waiuku Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a staff house, the said Waiuku Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.04605d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the district comprising the whole of the Borough of Waiuku; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the above extract is a true copy of resolution No. 443 passed by the Waiuku Borough Council at the ordinary monthly meeting held on the 16th day of December 1957 and recorded in the Council's minute book.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1957, ₤1,900 (Part of ₤4,600)
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of ₤1,900 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of purchasing land and a house, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0028d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Makara; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council held on 18 December 1957.

Reserves Loan 1957, ₤8,000
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of ₤8,000 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of purchasing land for use as recreation reserve in conjunction with the use of Titahi Bay Beach, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.15d. in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the County Towns of Titahi Bay, Porirua, and Takapuwahia (Porirua Riding, Gazette, 1956, page 1404); and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council held on 20 November 1957.
