WAVERLEY TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waverley Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,200 authorised to be raised by the Waverley Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a workman's residence, the said Waverley Town Council hereby makes a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Waverley Town District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The Common Seal of the body corporate called the Chairman, Councillors, and Citizens of the Town District of Waverley was hereunto affixed this 28th day of November 1957 by order of the Council by and in the presence of:

KAPONGA TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto, the Kaponga Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000) authorised to be raised by the Kaponga Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of providing extensions and alterations to the Council's electrical undertaking, the said Kaponga Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal seven pence (0·7d.) in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property in the Town District of Kaponga; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution making the special rate passed by the Kaponga Town Council on the 17th day of December 1957.

INGLEWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Inglewood Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Fire Services Loan, 1956, £4,300 authorised to be raised by the Inglewood Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the cost of fire service buildings, plant, and equipment, the said Inglewood Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·1125 pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Inglewood; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Inglewood was hereunto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Inglewood Borough Council in the presence of:

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROADING LOAN

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a roading loan of £15,200 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing Elliot Street, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·252 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

SUPPLEMENTARY ROADING LOAN

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a roading supplementary loan of £4,000 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the abovementioned Act for the purpose of completing works authorised for the Roading Loan, 1955, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·067 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that such special rate shall be an annualrecurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

HOUSING LOAN

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a housing loan of £2,850 authorised to be raised by the Howick Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the purchase of a house property situated at No. 21 Moore Street, Howick, the said Howick Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·042 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the rating district comprising the whole of the Borough of Howick; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off."

WAIRARAPA CATCHMENT BOARD

HOUSING LOAN 1957, £2,600

That, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby resolves to borrow the sum of £2,600 to be known as Housing Loan 1957 for the purpose of purchasing a workers' dwelling at Lake Ferry. The Wairarapa Catchment Board hereby authorises the raising of the loan of £2,600 with interest at the rate of 5 per cent per annum for a period of 25 years. The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, to be paid by equal aggregate half-yearly instalments over the term of the loan.

The said loan and interest thereon shall be secured by a special rate upon all rateable property within the South Wairarapa River Board District as defined in Gazette No. 80, dated 28 November 1929, pages 3061–2, in the following proportions:

Class A, 2½d. per acre.
Class B, 1½d. per acre.
Class C, ¼d. per acre.
Class D. No rate.

This resolution was passed by way of special order at a special meeting of the Wairarapa Catchment Board held on 15 October 1957 and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Board held on 26 November 1957.
