A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Makara and included in the Borough of Tawa Flat and, with the like advice and consent, hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF MAKARA AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF TAWA FLAT

FIRSTLY: All that area in the Wellington Land District situated in Block VII, Belmont Survey District, containing 114 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, being Section 38, Porirua District, and that portion of the Wellington-Paekakariki Centennial State Highway fronting the said Section 38.

Secondly: All that area in the Wellington Land District situated in Block VII, Belmont Survey District, containing 40 acres and 17 perches, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the western boundary of the North Island Main Trunk Railway and the southern boundary of Section 39, Porirua District, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Tawa Flat as described in Gazette 1953 at page 1143; thence easterly along the southern boundary of that section to the western boundary of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway; thence northerly generally along that boundary to the eastern abutment of Hinau Road, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Tawa Flat described as aforesaid; thence southerly generally along that boundary to its intersection with the southern boundary of Section 39 aforesaid, being the point of commencement.
