Road Closed in Block VII, Kairanga Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

All those pieces of road in the Wellington Land District, situated in Block VII, Kairanga Survey District, Wellington R.D., described as follows:

Adjoining
1 0 16 Lot 9 and part Lots 7 and 8, D.P. 203, being part Suburban Section 1533, Township of Bunny-thorpe.
1 0 16 Lots 27, 28, and 29, D.P. 5402, being part Rural Section 529, Township of Palmerston North.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 155403 (S.O. 23975) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Allocating Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Mount Maunganui to the Purposes of a Street

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a street and that the said street shall be under the control of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of land: 1 rood 28.16 perches. Being Lot 16, D.P. S. 4739, being part Section 8, Block XII, Tauranga Survey District, and being part of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 1415, folio 69, South Auckland Registry.

Revoking Declaration of Land, Whangarei Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22, in so far as that Warrant relates to the Whangarei Acclimatisation District.

Amending Declaration of Land, Whangarei Acclimatisation District, as Wildlife Refuges

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 26 October 1944, page 1281, notifying and declaring certain areas in the Whangarei Acclimatisation District to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921–22, and hereby proclaim and declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SCHEDULE
  1. Area at Parahaki—All that area of 703 acres 1 rood 11.8 perches, more or less, in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Allotment 84, Parahaki Parish, and running generally southerly along the south-western side of the public road forming the northern boundary of the said Allotment 84, to and along the western and southern boundaries of that part of Allotment 84 aforesaid taken for a rifle range by Proclamation published in Gazette, No. 74, of the 4th day of October 1934, page 3140, to and along the western boundaries of parts Allotments 85, N. 88, and S.E. 88, and along the northern boundary of Allotment 89 to and along the western side of the public road forming the eastern boundaries of Allotments 89 aforesaid, 90, and 91, to and along the southern boundary of the said Allotment 91, the eastern, southern, and south-western boundaries of Allotment W. 93, the north-western boundary of Allotment N.E. 94, and the north-western and south-western boundaries of Allotment S.W. 94, to the southern corner of that Allotment; thence westerly along the north-western side of the road forming the western and southern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 18256, being part Allotment 2, along the northern side of Old Parua Bay Road, and continuing along the generally southern and south-western boundaries of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 801, folio 63, being part Allotment 2 aforesaid, to its western corner; thence northerly along the north-western boundary of that part Allotment 2, the said allotments being of Parahaki Parish aforesaid, to and along the generally southern, western, and north-western boundaries of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 774, folio 100 (limited as to parcels), being part Parahaki No. 3 Block, along the southern boundary of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 542, folio 108 (limited as to parcels and title), being part Parahaki Maori Reserve, and along the south-eastern and southern boundaries of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 542, folio 37 (limited as to parcels), being part Parahaki Maori Reserve aforesaid, and part Parahaki No. 1 Block, to and up the left bank of the Hatea River, to and along the northern boundary of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 542, folio 108 aforementioned, to and along the western boundary of Allotment 84 aforementioned, to the point of commencement.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/111 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

  1. Mair Park and adjoining areas—All that area of 16 acres and 36.7 perches, more or less, being that part of Allotment 2, Parish of Whangarei, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 526, folio 19 (limited as to parcels and title), and Lot 3, D.P. 26522, Lot 1, D.P. 28904, and Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 29387, all being parts of the said Allotment 2, situated in Block IX, Whangarei Survey District.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/369, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

  1. Raumanga Quarry Reserve—All that area of 14 acres 3 roods 2.9 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 4, D.P. 17810, Lots 1 to 6 (inclusive), D.P. 34995, and Lots 1 to 4 (inclusive), D.P. 35519, all being parts of the northern portion of Raumanga No. 2 Block, situated in Block XII, Purua Survey District.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/368 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

  1. Water Reserves at Whangarei—All that area of 1,787 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in Blocks XI and XII, Purua Survey District, being Allotment 38, Parish of Kaitara, Allotment 8, Parish of Pukenui, and Allotments 54 and 76 and the north-western portion of Allotment 55, Parish of Whangarei.

As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/353 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
