Allocating Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Putaruru to the Purposes of a Street

COBHAM, Governor-General
A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a street; and that the said street shall be under the control of the Putaruru Borough Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods 38·8 perches. Being part railway land in Proclamation 12688.
Situated in Block X, Patetere North Survey District, Borough of Putaruru. (S.O. 38634.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 15034 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured orange.

Declaring Lands in South Auckland and Taranaki Land Districts Vested in the South Auckland and Taranaki Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the South Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Taranaki Education Board, as sites for public schools shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto being portion of provisional State forest set apart by Proclamation dated the 5th day of July 1920, and published in Gazette, 8 July 1920, Vol. II, page 2119, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Leasing Regulations 1930, I, Charles John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be set apart for disposal under section 152 of the Harbours Act 1950.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing by admeasurement 77 acres, more or less, being Section 1, Block XII, Whangarei Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked M.D. 10286 deposited in the Head Office, Marine Department, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
