AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £101,000, to be known as the Redemption Loan 1957, authorised to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting deficient sinking funds on the maturity of the Consolidated Loan 1924, £847,000, Issue of £400,000, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fourths of one penny (¾d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, comprising the whole of the City of Auckland; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of six (6) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rodney County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £8,000 authorised to be raised by the Rodney County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing or erecting houses and making advances to workers for housing, the said Rodney County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal 05818826 pence in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Rodney; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rodney County Council held on the 17th day of October 1957.

BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000) authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of financing the purchase of a worker’s dwelling, the Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-second of one penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges and Culverts Replacement Loan 1957, £50,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing bridges and culverts, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point three two eight seven pence (0·3287d.) in the pound on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property within the County of Rangitikei; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on or about the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is paid off.”

EASTBOURNE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eastbourne Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fourteen thousand pounds (£14,000) authorised to be raised by the Eastbourne Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing the foreshore protection wall, the said Eastbourne Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of forty-five hundredths of a penny in the pound (0·45d.) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Eastbourne; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Roxburgh Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 13th day of June 1957, has resolved to prepare for the Roxburg District, a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
