LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Social Welfare Building Loan 1957, £30,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds (£30,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a social building including shops and offices, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and twenty-nine thousandths of a penny (0·329d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 21st day of October 1957.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Hall Replacement Loan 1957, £80,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolved as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty thousand pounds (£80,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of replacing the Horticultural Hall, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight hundred and fifty-five thousandths of a penny (0·855d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is paid off.”
I certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 21st day of October 1957.

WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwellings Loan 1957, £14,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Counties Act 1956, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal and other charges on a loan of £14,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitotara County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the erection of four workers' dwellings, the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nough five three seven (0·0537) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Waitotara; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed at the Council meeting held on Tuesday, 8 October 1957.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Library Additional Loan 1957, £5,500
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,500 authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the erection and furnishing of the new library building, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-seven one thousandths of a penny (0·067d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 23rd day of October 1957.

SOUTHLAND COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Staff Housing Loan No. 2, 1957
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Southland County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 (to be known as Staff Housing Loan No. 2, 1957) authorised to be raised by the Southland County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings for Council employees, the said Southland County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-seven one-thousandths of a penny in the pound (0·037d. in the £) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the county, comprising the whole of the County of Southland; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly passed by the Southland County Council at a meeting of the said Council held on the 18th day of October 1957.

WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and repayment charges and all other expenses on the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board’s Development Loan 1957 of £150,000 to be raised pursuant to the above-mentioned authority, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth part of one penny (¹/₁₄d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the aforesaid loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
Certified as a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board on 22 October 1957.
