WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £180,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the Stoke Sewerage reticulations, the said Waimea County Council hereby makes a special rate of one penny and one-tenth of a penny (11/10d.) in the pound upon the rateable value, on the basis of the capital value, of all rateable property of the Stoke Sewerage Special Rating Area, namely: All that area of land comprised within the following boundaries commencing at a point on the sea coast at the northernmost corner of Section 85, Block III, Waimea Survey District; thence following the boundary of the Nelson City in a south-easterly direction to the eastern corner of Section 19, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence following the boundary of the Nelson City in a north-easterly direction to the northern corner of Section 11, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence following the boundary of the Nelson City in a south-easterly direction to the eastern corner of Section 6, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a straight line in a south-westerly direction to the eastern corner of Section VI, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction to the northern corner of Section VI, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of Section 42, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, to the southern corner of the said Section 42; thence for a distance of 10 chains in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of Section 42, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along a line parallel to the south-eastern boundary of Sections 42 and 47, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, to the north-eastern boundary of Section XV, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern boundary of Section XV, Block IV, Waimea Survey District, to the eastern corner of the said Section XV, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of the said Section XV to the southern corner of the said Section XV, Block IV, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction to the eastern corner of Section XVI, Block VII, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundaries of Sections XVI and 66 to Ngawhatu public road; thence in a north-westerly direction along the north-eastern side of the said Ngawhatu public road to the north-western side of Suffolk public road; thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-western side of Suffolk Road to the southern corner of Lot 21, D.P. 5220, being part Section 54, Block VII, Waimea Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 21, D.P. 5220, and part Section 54, D.P. 1226, as shown on C.T. 41/199, to the western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 5220; thence in the same general direction across the Nelson-Westport State Highway to the north-western side of the said State highway; thence in a south-westerly direction to the southern corner of part Section 3 of 59, Block III, Waimea Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said part Section 3 of 59, to the south-eastern side of the Nelson-Glenhope railway reserve; thence in a north-easterly direction along the south-eastern side of the said railway reserve to the south-western side of Quarantine public road; thence in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundary of the said road to its junction with Bolt public road; thence following high-water mark in a south-westerly, north-westerly, and north-easterly direction, to the point of commencement; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Waimea County Council held on the 11th day of October 1957.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram. 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
