And notice is also given that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to sections 284 and 362 (8) of the Companies Act 1955 at the meeting room of the Nelson Institute, Hardy Street, Nelson, on Monday, the 4th day of November 1957, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company’s affairs together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 285 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be a liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 286 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £22,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act (which said loan is the fifth issue of the Streets Improvement Loan 1953, of £300,000) for the purpose of the construction, reconstruction, and surface sealing of streets and the construction of footpaths and kerbing and channelling and the provision of stormwater drains, the said New Plymouth City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth (excluding, however, the area included in the city by Order in Council made on 8 August 1955, and published in the Gazette, No. 52, of 11 August 1955, at page 1258); and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 21st day of October 1957.
