BRUNNER BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION FOR SPECIAL RATE
THE Brunner Borough Council hereby resolves that a special water rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property be levied within a special area of the Brunner Borough as shown in a special roll deposited for inspection in the Borough Council office, Wallsend, for the purpose of the repayment of a special loan called the 1957 Water Supply Loan for the 1957-58 rating period.
Dated the 22nd day of June 1957.

GISBORNE HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Gisborne Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, pursuant to the provisions of the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1956, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of thirty thousand pounds authorised to be raised by the Gisborne Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Act for constructing and carrying out harbour works specified in the Schedule to the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1956, viz., the sea wall, known as Butler’s Wall, the said Gisborne Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one thirty-second of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Gisborne Harbour District, as defined by the Gisborne Harbour Board Empowering Act 1952, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by the Gisborne Harbour Board at a meeting held at the Board’s office, Read’s Quay, Gisborne, on the 14th day of October 1957.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fire Station Loan 1956, £20,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the erection of a new fire station, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one decimal three pence in the pound (1·3d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Rangiora; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Nelson Harbour Board Empowering Act 1956, the Nelson Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £500,000 authorised to be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board under the above-mentioned Acts for carrying out the harbour works specified in the Schedule of the abovementioned empowering Act, the said Nelson Harbour Board hereby makes a special rate of one-third of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Nelson Harbour Board District as defined by the Nelson Harbour Act 1905, and its amendments of 1923 and 1931; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson Harbour Board at a special meeting held on the 14th day of October 1957.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Makara County Council Water and Sewerage Reticulation Loan 1957, £150,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £150,000 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of providing water and sewerage reticulation in the Porirua Urban Sanitary Drainage and Water Supply Area, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of three and three hundred and twenty-five thousandths pence (3·325d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Porirua Urban Sanitary Drainage and Water Supply Area (as defined in Makara County Special Order of 9 August 1957); and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council held on the 18th day of September 1957.

MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Makara County Council Refuse Collection and Disposal Loan 1957, £5,600
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Makara County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,600 authorised to be raised by the Makara County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of purchasing a refuse-collection vehicle and developing a refuse-tip site, the said Makara County Council hereby makes a special rate of twenty-six hundredths pence (0·26d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Porirua Riding of the County of Makara (Gazette, 1956, page 1404); and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Makara County Council held on the 18th day of September 1957.

WAVERLEY TOWN COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waverley Town Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of £17,250 authorised to be raised by the Waverley Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and improving the water supply and improving streets within the Waverley Town District, the said Waverley Town Council hereby makes a special rate of threepence halfpenny (3½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Waverley Town District comprising the whole of the Waverley Town District; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twentyfive (25) years from the date of the raising of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The common seal of the body corporate called the Chairman, Councillors, and Citizens of the Town District of Waverley was hereunto affixed this 20th day of August 1957, by order of the Council, by and in the presence of—
