MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Stoddard Valley Stormwater Drainage Loan 1957, £20,000—
Security Rate

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of a stormwater drain in the special rating area within the Borough of Mount Roskill called the Stoddard Valley Stormwater Special Rating Area, as defined in the following Schedule, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence and three sixty-fourths of a penny (43/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in such special rating area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SCHEDULE

THE area outlined in red on the plan or map prepared for this purpose being all the land situated in the Borough of Mount Roskill—

(a) Wholly enclosed by and including Stoddart Road, May Road, and Richardson Road, but excepting however Lot 4, D.P. 2397, and Lots 1 to 21 (both inclusive), D.P. 23119, and those portions of Stoddart Road and May Road bounding the said excepted lots.
(b) Richardson Road from its junction with May Road to its junction with Dominion Road Extension and also Dominion Road Extension from the last-mentioned junction to the northern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 31464, fronting Dominion Road Extension hereinafter mentioned.
(c) Fronting Richardson Road: The land with frontages on the south-western side of Richardson Road being:

  1. Lots 1 to 10 (both inclusive), D.P. 40677, and two parts of Lot 8, D.P. 289, the south-western boundary of the said parts Lot 8 being 270 links from and parallel with Richardson Road.

  2. Lots 1 to 11 (both inclusive), D.P. 41127, and part Lot 17 on D.P. 289, the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 17 being 270 links from and parallel with Richardson Road.

  3. Lots 1 to 9 (both inclusive), D.P. 37123, and part Lot 18, D.P. 289, the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 18 being 264.01 links from and parallel with Richardson Road.

  4. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and part Lot 5, D.P. 36607, the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 5 being 258.45 links from and parallel with Richardson Road.

  5. Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 33602 (now called Allotments 40 to 54 (both inclusive), Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland), and Lot 68 and part Lot 69, D.P. 42738, and the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 69 being on the same bearing as south-western boundary of the said Lot 68.
    (d) Fronting Dominion Road Extension: The land with frontages on the eastern side of Dominion Road Extension as follows:

  6. Lots 5 and 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 (Road Reserve), D.P. 31464.

  7. Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7, D.P. 38633.

  8. Lots 992, 993, 994, 995, 996, and 1006, 1007, 1008, D.P. 22826.

  9. Lots 25 to 37 (both inclusive), D.P. 38632.
    (e) Fronting or lying in the vicinity of May Road as follows:

  10. (a) All the land on D.P. 19326 (except Lot 5, D.P. 39897) on the south-eastern corner of May Road and Richardson Road marked “Board of Education School Site” on the plan prepared as aforesaid for this purpose.
    (b) Lot 2, D.P. 31348, fronting May Road on the north-eastern corner of the boundary of the school site aforesaid.
    (c) Lots 1, 2, 4, D.P. 39897.
    (d) Lots 240, 241, 242, 244 to 248 (both inclusive), and that part of Glynn Street adjoining Lots 240, 244, 245, and 246, D.P. 40514.
    (e) Lot 1, D.P. 31348, lying between Lots 239 and 359, D.P. 42894.
    (f) Lots 187 to 192 (both inclusive), and Lots 234 to 239 (both inclusive), Lots 358, 359, and 360, D.P. 42694.

  11. Lots 206, 219 to 222 (both inclusive), D.P. 42513.

NELSON CATCHMENT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Nelson Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand pounds (£22,000) authorised to be raised by the Nelson Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the local contribution towards the cost of river-protection work on the Wai-iti, Wairoa, and Waimea Rivers, the said Nelson Catchment Board hereby makes a special rate of threepence in the pound on A class land, one and one-half pence in the pound on B class land, three-fifths of one penny in the pound on C class land, three-tenths of one penny in the pound on D class land, three-fortieths of one penny in the pound on E class land, and G class land exempt, upon the capital value of all the rateable property in that portion of the Board’s district comprising all that area of land in the District of Nelson and designated as the ‘Waimea Plains Flood Protection Special Rating Area’, bounded as follows: All that land in the Waimea County bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Section 169, Block VI, Waimea Survey District; thence along the eastern side of a public road in a south-westerly direction to the northern corner of Section 147 of the aforesaid Block and Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction to the eastern corner of the said Section 147; thence in a south-westerly direction to the northern corner of Section 140; thence in a south-easterly direction and across a public road to the northern corner of Section 127; thence in a south-westerly direction along the eastern side of a public road to the western corner of Section 131, Block VI, Waimea Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction to the eastern side of the Nelson-Westport State Highway at the northern part of Section 5, Block X, Waimea Survey District; thence along the eastern side of the State highway to the northern corner of Section 17; thence in a northerly and westerly direction along the southern side of the State and main highways across the Wai-iti River to the Waimea West Main Highway at the northern corner of Section 162, Block IX, Waimea Survey District; thence along the western side of the main highway to the eastern corner of Section 145, Block V, Waimea Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction to the corner of a public road on the northern side of the aforesaid Section 145; thence in a north-easterly direction to eastern corner of Section 114; thence in a northerly direction to the western corner of Section 100; thence north to the southern corner of Section 74, Block I, Waimea Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction to the western side of a public road at part Section 2, Block I, Waimea Survey District; thence along the western side of a public road to the State highway at the eastern corner of Section 84; thence in a north-westerly direction along the southern side of the State highway to the north-eastern corner of Section 86; thence in a north-easterly direction along the western side of an unformed road to the mean high spring tide level; thence following the aforesaid mean high spring tide level, generally in an easterly and southerly direction following the boundaries of Sections 3A, 3, X, 207, 208, 209, 211, and 212, Blocks I and II, Waimea Survey District, to the point of commencement at the north-western corner of Section 169, Block II, Waimea Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PAEROA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paeroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of eighty-six thousand five hundred pounds (£86,500) authorised to be raised by the Paeroa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply for the Borough of Paeroa, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four decimal eighteen pence (4.18d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Paeroa; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council held on the 10th day of October 1957.
