Revoking Part of a Proclamation Taking Land for Scenic
Purposes in Block XIV, Rarete Survey District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 18th day of
November 1914 and published in Gazette, 26 November 1914,
No. 128, page 4146, taking land for scenic purposes in Block
XIV, Rarete Survey District, in so far as it affects the land
described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer
required.

SCHEDULE

All that piece of land in the Wellington Land District containing
23 acres 3 roods 27 perches, situated in Block XIV,
Rarete Survey District, Wellington R.D., being part Sub-
division 1A, Ohoutahi Block, and being part of the land in
Proclamation No. 944, Wellington Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 7th day of October 1957.

Altering the Boundaries of the Springs-Ellesmere Electric
Power District

COBHAM, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Charles
John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Springs-Ellesmere
Electric Power District so as to include therein the area described
in the Schedule hereto, the said area being part of the
existing outer area of the Malvern Electric Power District.

SCHEDULE

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Selwyn County,
bounded by a line commencing at a point on the middle line
of the Old South Road in the middle of the Rakaia River,
Block XIV, Selwyn Survey District; thence north-westerly
along the middle of that river to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2590; thence north-
easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the
middle of Sharlands Road; thence easterly along the middle
of that road to and northerly along the middle of a road
forming the eastern boundary of Rural Section 37064 to a
point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P.
3967; thence easterly to and along that boundary and northerly
along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 1, the crossing
of Saunders Road, and continuing northerly along the West-
ern boundary of Rural Section 37009 to its northernmost
corner; thence along a right line to the south-western corner
of Rural Section 37000; thence south-easterly along the
south-western boundary of that section and its production to
the middle of Ardlui Road; thence northerly along the middle
of that road to and north-easterly along the middle of Bealeys
Road to and south-easterly along the middle of Dunsandel-
Hororata Main Highway No. 196 to a point in line with the
western boundary of Rural Section 37597; thence northerly
to and along that boundary and its production to the middle
of the Hororata River; thence easterly along the middle of
that river to a point in line with the middle of Gillanders
Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to the
middle of the Dunsandel-Hororata Main Highway No. 196;
thence south-easterly generally along the middle lines of that
main highway, Two Chain Road, Wrights Road, Old South
Road, Sheats Road, and the production of the last-mentioned
road to the centre line of the South Island Main Trunk Railway;
thence south-westerly along the centre line of that railway
to and along the middle of the Old South Road to the
point of commencement.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked S.H.D. 463 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-
electric Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in
blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 7th day of October 1957.

Provisional State Forest Land Set Apart as Permanent State
Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Charles
John, Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New
Zealand, hereby set apart the provisional State forest land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest
land.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICTโ€”NELSON CONSERVANCY

All that area in Golden Bay County containing 19,350 acres,
more or less, situated in Blocks XIV, XV, XVI, XVIII, XIX,
and XX, Waingaro Survey District, Blocks XIII, XIV, XVII,
and XVIII, Takaka Survey District, Blocks II, III, and IV,
Harapaki Survey District, and Block I, Flora Survey District,
and being provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 928,
and Gazette, 1920, page 2112) described generally as follows:
Bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station F, situated in
Block XIII, Takaka Survey District, thence south-easterly
along a right line to the south-western corner of Section 4,
Block XIV, Takaka Survey District; thence generally south-
easterly along the southern boundary of the said Section 4
and the south-western boundary of part of Section 3, Block
XIV, Takaka Survey District (permanent State forest, Gazette,
1942, page 1422), to the north-western boundary of land set
apart for the development of water power (Gazette, 1949,
page 3); thence generally south-westerly along the north-
western boundary of the said land set apart for the development
of water power to its intersection with the right bank
of the Cobb River, by a crossing of the Cobb River to and
along the western bank of the Takaka River to its intersection
with the north-eastern boundary of mineral lease C. 42 (S.O.
9274); thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly
along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the
said mineral lease C. 42 to its intersection with the north-
eastern boundary of mineral lease C. 41 (S.O. Plan 9249);
thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of the said mineral lease C. 41 to I.T. XXIV (S.O.
9249); thence north-westerly along a right line to the south-
eastern corner of part of Section 2, Block I, Flora Survey
District, again north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of the said part of Section 2 to its intersection with the south-
eastern boundary of land set apart for the development of
water power (Gazette, 1948, page 1251); thence generally
south-easterly, north-easterly, and south-westerly along the
boundary of the said land set apart for the development of
water power and Crown land (S.O. 9432), Block I, Flora
Survey District, again along the boundary of the said land
set apart for the development of water power and Crown
land (S.O. 9432), Block I, Flora Survey District, and again
along the boundary of the said land set apart for the development
of water power to its intersection with the north-eastern
boundary of part of Section 2, Block I, Flora Survey District (permanent
State forest, Gazette, 1957, page 826); thence generally
north-westerly, south-westerly, again north-westerly, westerly,
south-easterly, south-westerly, and again north-westerly along
the said permanent State forest boundary to its intersection
with the boundary of permanent State forest (Gazette, 1943,
page 1382); thence north-easterly along the said permanent
State forest boundary to its intersection with the boundary of
permanent State forest (Gazette, 1957, page 826); thence
generally south-easterly, north-easterly, north-westerly, and
again north-easterly along the said permanent State forest
boundary to its intersection with the southern boundary of
Block XVI, Waingaro Survey District; thence north-easterly
along a right line to the point of commencement.

Excluding therefrom Section 2, Block XVIII, Waingaro
Survey District (permanent State forest, Gazette, 1952, page
1309), and all public roads and tracks. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 102/40 deposited in the
Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 30th day of September 1957.

Crown Land near Papatoetoe Set Apart for Railway Purposes
Subject to a Building-line Restriction

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Charles John,
Viscount Cobham, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes,
subject to the building-line restriction contained in K. 54236,
Auckland Registry, and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 10th day of October 1957.
