Altering the Boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Wairoa Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Wairoa Electric Power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the Wairoa Electric Power District and including such area in the Hawke's Bay Electric Power District; and further, I hereby declare that the boundaries of the Hawke's Bay and Wairoa Electric Power Districts shall henceforth be those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Wairoa County, situated in Blocks II, III, IV, VIII, and IX, Moeangi-ang Survey District, containing approximately 7,550 acres and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point in the middle of the Waikare River at its mouth; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Block 51, Mohaka Crown Grant District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary including the crossing of the Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa State Highway to the northern boundary of the said Block 51; thence easterly generally along that boundary, along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block III, Moeangiangi Survey District, and again along the northern boundary of the said Block 51 to the westernmost corner of Section 1, Block III, Moeangiangi Survey District; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that section to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4021 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence southerly generally along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4020 deposited as aforesaid, the north-western boundary of Lot 6 on the said plan numbered 4020, and again the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 2 to the right bank of the Waitaha Stream; thence down that bank to the sea coast and south-westerly along the sea coast to a point in the middle of the Waikare River at its mouth, being the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered S.H.D. 454 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in red.
SECOND SCHEDULE
HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, comprising parts of the Counties of Hawke's Bay, Patangata, Waipawa, and Wairoa, the cities of Napier and Hastings, and the Boroughs of Taradale and Havelock North, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in Block III, Waimarama Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 3216 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence westerly and south-westerly to and along the northern and north-western boundaries of the said Lot 2 to the southern boundary of Lot 1 on the plan numbered 3215 deposited as aforesaid; thence westerly along that boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 46, Block VII, Oero Survey District; thence northerly along that boundary, the crossing of Wai-poapoa Road and the eastern boundaries of Sections 7, 6, 5, and 4, Block III, Oero Survey District, to the northern boundary of the last-mentioned Section 4; thence westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Hawea Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to and up the middle of the Tukituki River, to and up the middle of the Papanui Stream to the middle of the Waitukai Road; thence north-westerly generally along the middle of that road and the middle of Papanui-Te Aute and Boundary Roads to a point in line with the western side of the Wellington-Napier Railway; thence northerly along that side of the said railway to the southern boundary of Papaaruhe 2B Block; thence westerly along that boundary and the southern boundary of Papaaruhe 2A Block to the western boundary of the last-mentioned block; thence northerly along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Papaaruhe 4A Block; thence north-westerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Napier-Palmerston North State Highway; thence southerly along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Papaaruhe 4B Block; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and southerly along the western boundary of the said 4B Block to the north-eastern boundary of Poupou-tahi C Block; thence north-westerly along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Poupoutahi D 2 Block to the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned block; thence south-westerly along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 29 on the plan numbered 4416, deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XV, Maraekakaho Survey District, the crossing of Te Onepu Road and the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Maraekakaho Survey District, to the northernmost corner of the last-mentioned Section 1; thence again north-westerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Manga-O-Nuku River in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1, Block X, Maraekakaho Survey District; thence up the middle of that river to the middle of the Fernhill-Takapau via Maraekakaho Main Highway, in Block V, Maraekakaho Survey District, which point is more particularly delineated on plan numbered 1890 (red) lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier; thence north-easterly along the middle of that highway to the middle of the Manga-O-Nuku River; thence again up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Block 3, Gwawas Crown Grant District, in Block IV, Wakarara Survey District; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary and south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of the said Block 3 and of Blocks 1 and 5 and again Block 1, all of Gwawas Crown Grant District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Mangamauku Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XI, Wakarara Survey District; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the northern-most point of the said Section 1; thence again north-westerly along a right line to the junction of the Makaroro River and Makaroro Stream (east of Section 8, Block IX, Wakarara Survey District); thence again north-westerly along a right line in the direction of Trig. Station 30 (Aorangi) to the summit of the Ruahine Range; thence northerly along the summit of the said range to Trig. Station Y on the western boundary of Block XVIII, Ngaruroro Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Taruarau River in Block II, Ngaruroro Survey District, in line with the south-western boundary of Block 78, Maraekakaho Crown Grant District; thence down the middle of that river to and up the middle of the Ngaruroro River to its intersection with a right line between Trig. Stations 26 (Tauwhetewhango) and 65A; thence easterly along that right line to the said Trig. Station 65A in Block XXI, Kaweka Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line through Trig. Station 68A to the middle of the Mohaka River; thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 6, Block V, Waitara Survey District; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Section 3, Block XI, Waitara Survey District, to the middle of the Waikare River, thence down the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Block 51, Mohaka Crown Grant District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary including the crossing of the Gisborne-Napier via Hangaroa State Highway to the northern boundary of the said Block 51; thence easterly generally along that boundary, along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of Section 5, Block III, Moeangiangi Survey District, and again along the northern boundary of the said Block 51 to the westernmost corner of Section 1, Block III, Moeangiangi Survey District; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of that section to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4021 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier; thence south-easterly generally along that boundary, the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 4020 deposited as aforesaid, the north-western boundary of Lot 6 on the said plan numbered 4020, and again the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 2 to the right bank of the Waitaha Stream; thence down that bank to the sea coast; thence southerly along the sea coast to a point in Block III, Waimarama Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 3216 deposited as aforesaid, being the point of commencement. As the said area is more particularly delineated on the plans numbered S.H.D. 283/1, 283/2, 283/3, and 283/4 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington, and thereon outlined in blue; and on the plan numbered S.H.D. 454 deposited as aforesaid, and thereon outlined in red.
THIRD SCHEDULE
WAIRROA ELECTRIC POWER DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay and Gisborne Land Districts, comprising the Borough of Wairoa and parts of the Counties of Wairoa and Cook, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the right bank of the Waitaha Stream with the sea coast in Block VIII, Moeangiangi Survey District, being also a point on the boundary of the Hawke's Bay Electric Power District as described in the Second Schedule to this Proclamation; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundary of the said Hawke's Bay Electric Power District to a point in the middle of the Mohaka River at its confluence with the Te Hoe River, in Block IX, Waitara Survey District; thence up the middle of the Te Hoe River to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Te Whaiti Block; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point being the intersection of a right line from the northern-most point of Lake Waikaremoana and passing through a point 180 chains due north of Trig. Station Maungataniwha, situated in Block XIV, Tuatawhata Survey District, with a right line between Trig. Station 76A (Tawhiwhau), situated in Block XIV, Galatea Survey District, and Trig. Station 69 (Tataraokino), situated in Block VIII, Tarawera Survey
