Additional Land and Easements Taken for a Mental Hospital
in Block IV, Waikouaiti Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General
the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the
Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the
First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a mental hospital;
and I also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is
hereby taken for the purposes of the said mental hospital over
the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, vesting in
Her Majesty the Queen the full and free right, liberty, license,
and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, reconstruct,
repair, and maintain electric lines and electric cables,
together with all ancillary poles and equipment along, over,
or under the land described in the said Second Schedule and
to transmit electricity along the said electric lines and electric
cables; and I also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement
is hereby taken for the said purposes over the land
described in the Third and Fifth Schedules hereto, vesting in
Her Majesty the Queen the full and free right, liberty, license,
and authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, reconstruct,
cleanse, repair, and maintain a line of pipes along,
over, or under the land described in the said Third and Fifth
Schedules and to convey water through the said pipes; and
I also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby
taken for the said purposes over the land described in the
Fourth Schedule hereto, vesting in Her Majesty the Queen
the full and free right, liberty, license, and authority in perpetuity
to construct and use a right of way, with the right
for Her Majesty's servants, agents, and workmen from time
to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass,
with or without horses or other animals or vehicles, over the
land described in the said Fourth Schedule, and to maintain,
repair, and keep open the said right of way; all the aforesaid
easements to be held appurtenant to the land described in the
said First Schedule; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 12th day of August 1957.
FIRST SCHEDULE
All that piece of land in the Otago Land District containing
1 acre 3 roods 37·6 perches, situated in Block IV, Waikouaiti
Survey District, Otago R.D., and being part Section 15; as
the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 150422 (S.O. 11981) deposited in the office of the
Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All those pieces of land in the Otago Land District, situated
in Block IV, Waikouaiti Survey District, Otago R.D., described
as follows:

(S.O. 11981) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works
at Wellington, and thereon coloured sepia.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 6th day of August 1957.

Land and Easements Over Land Taken for Employees'
Houses in Block XI, Ohau River Survey District, and
Blocks XII and XVI, Benmore Survey District

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 61
of the Rabbits Act 1955, I, Major-General the Right
Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator
of the Government of New Zealand, hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the First
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for employees' houses
and shall vest in the Benmore Rabbit Board; and I also
hereby proclaim and declare that easements are hereby taken
over the land described in the Second, Third, and Fourth
Schedules hereto vesting in respect of the land described in
each of the said Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules in the
Benmore Rabbit Board full and free right, liberty, licence,
and authority in perpetuity to construct and use a right of
way with the right for the Benmore Rabbit Board, its tenants,
agents, licensees, invitees, servants, and workmen from time
to time and at all times hereafter to go, pass, and repass with
or without horses or other animals or vehicles over the land
in the said Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules and to maintain,
repair, reconstruct, and keep open the said rights of
way for the purpose of providing access to the land first,
secondly, and thirdly described respectively in the First
Schedule hereto, the right of way described in the said Second
Schedule to be appurtenant to the land first described in the
said First Schedule, the right of way described in the said
Third Schedule to be appurtenant to the land secondly described
in the said First Schedule, and the right of way
described in the said Fourth Schedule to be appurtenant to
the land thirdly described in the said First Schedule; and I
also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and
after the 12th day of August 1957.

marked and coloured as above mentioned and deposited in
the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
