Rangitaiki Parish, along the northern boundaries of part Lot 5, D.P. 14700, Lot 1, D.P. S. 2164, and Lot 1, D.P. S. 2601, the aforesaid lots being parts Allotment 31P 1, Rangitaiki Parish aforementioned, along the northern boundary of Allotment 31S of that parish, to and up the right bank of the Waioho Stream, to and along the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. S. 2601, being Allotment 134 of the said parish, and along a right line being that boundary produced to its intersection with a series a right lines parallel to, and 5 chains distant from, the western side of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway; thence generally northerly along those right lines, to and along another series of right lines parallel to, and 5 chains distant from, the western side of the Whakatane Station Main Highway, the southern side of the Rotorua-Whakatane State Highway and the western side of Eastern Boundary Road, to the point of commencement, save and excepting thereout the Borough of Whakatane as described in Gazette, No. 52, of the 10th day of August 1950, page 1566.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of Section 36 of the Transport Act 1949
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 2
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 2, and shall be read together with and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

This notice shall come into force on the 19th day of July 1957.

The principal notice shall cease to apply in respect of the goods and services set out in the Schedule hereto.

The principal notice is hereby consequentially amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto all references to the goods and services referred to in the Schedule hereto in respect of which, pursuant to clause 3 hereof, the principal notice no longer applies.

Notice of Intention to Assign Place Names by the New Zealand Geographic Board
PURSUANT to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the names set out in the first column of the Schedule hereto to the respective places and features set out and described opposite those names in the second and third columns of the said Schedule.
Pursuant to section 13 of the said Act, any person objecting to any such proposed name may at any time within the period of three months from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette give to the Secretary of the Board, care of the Department of Lands and Survey, P.O. Box 8003, Government Buildings, Wellington, notice in writing of his objection, setting out the grounds of the objection.
If no objection is received by the Board within the aforesaid period of three months, the Board’s decision as to any of the said proposed names will be final.
