Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 4th day of June 1957, subject to the stormwater easement created by memorandum of transfer No. 370173, Wellington Land Registry.

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land Subject as to Part to a Fencing Agreement

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land for the purposes of the Land Act 1948 as from the 22nd day of July 1957, subject as to Lot 178, D.P. 14665, the fencing agreement contained in memorandum of transfer No. 167352, Auckland Land Registry.

ALL that piece of land in the North Auckland Land District containing 1 acre 1 rood 13·5 perches, situated in the City of Auckland, Auckland R.D., and being Lots 178 to 183 (both inclusive), D.P. 14665. Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of Whakatane

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, the approval granted to the Whakatane County Council on the 8th day of July 1955 to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by three sections as described in the Gazette, No. 46, 21 July 1955, page 1147, has been varied, and approval has now been granted to the Whakatane County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by five sections as follows:

(1) Kawerau Section, described in the Gazette, No. 37, 17 June 1954, page 1010.

(2) Murupara Section, described in the Gazette, No. 46, 21 June 1955, page 1147.

(3) Edgecumbe Section, described in the Schedule hereto.

(4) Whakatane-Ohope Section, described in the Schedule hereto.

(5) The remainder of the County of Whakatane.

SCHEDULE

WHAKATANE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (EDGECUMBE SECTION)

ALL that area in the Whakatane County in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block III, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, being the northernmost corner of Section 7s, Omeheu Settlement, and running easterly generally along a right line across the Omeheu Canal to and along the southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 16129, being part Allotments 187 and 134A, Lot 2, D.P. S. 3297, Allotment 134A aforesaid, and Lot 1, D.P. S. 3297, being part Allotments 134A and 188, all of Matata Parish, along the southern boundaries of Sections 12s and 3s, Omeheu Settlement, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the eastern side of the West Bank Main Highway; thence south-easterly generally along that eastern side to and along the southern boundary of Allotment 179, Matata Parish aforesaid, and along another right line being that boundary produced to and down the right bank of the Rangitiki River, to and along the southern boundary of part Allotment 1A 1, Rangitaiki Parish, and along another right line being that boundary produced to and along the eastern side of Eastbank North Road, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 146, and then southerly along the north-western boundaries of Allotments 151, 153, 155, 157, and 159, the aforesaid allotments being of Rangitaiki Parish aforesaid, and along the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned allotment to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 36308, being part Allotment 84 of the aforesaid parish; thence along a right line across Railway East Road and the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, to and along the north-eastern boundary, and a right line being that boundary produced to the south-western side of McCracken Road; thence westerly generally along that roadside and that roadside produced to and up to the right bank of the Rangitaiki River aforesaid, to a point due west of the southernmost corner of Allotment 64, Matata Parish; thence along a right line to and along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that Allotment 64, to and along the northern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 10935, being part Allotment 155, Matata Parish aforesaid, to and generally northerly along the eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 22557, being part Allotments 153 and 155 of the aforesaid parish, to its north-eastern corner; thence along a right line across a public road, to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 20726, being part Allotment 141, and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 19600, being part Allotment 138A, both of the aforesaid parish, along a right line being that south-eastern boundary produced across the East Coast Main Trunk Railway and Railway West Road to and along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 19600 aforesaid, being part Allotment 138A aforesaid, and along the south-eastern boundary of Section 7s, Omeheu Settlement aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

WHAKATANE COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (WHAKATANE-OHOPE SECTION)

All that area in the Whakatane County in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IA, Whakatane Survey District, on the shores of the Bay of Plenty, being the intersection of a right line on the western side of, parallel to, and 5 chains distant from, the western side of Eastern Boundary Road, with the said shores, and running south-easterly along those shores to and westerly along the shores of the Ohiwa Harbour, to and along the generally northern boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 12843, and Lot 1, D.P. 29595, to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 24302, the eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 24302, and the northern boundary of part Lot 3, D.P. 10439, the aforesaid lots all being parts Allotment 245, Waimana Parish, to and along a series of right lines parallel to, and 5 chains distant from, the eastern side of the Whakatane-Opotiki State Highway, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 24 of the aforesaid parish; thence along a right line across that State highway, to and along that northern boundary, and along another right line across the Whakatane River, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Allotments 38A 2A 1D, 38A 2A 3, and again 38A 2A 1D of
