Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints The Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve described in Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for landing purposes, subject to the special condition that no person shall use the said reserve for the purpose of drawing water from the Waikato River without the approval in writing of the Conservator of Wildlife, Rotorua.

Appointment of the Mackenzie County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints The Mackenzie County Council to control and manage the reserve described in Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a scenic reserve.

Appointment of the Auckland Acclimatisation Society to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints The Auckland Acclimatisation Society to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for the preservation of flora and fauna.

Appointment of the Whangaroa County Council to Control and Manage a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints The Whangaroa County Council to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a scenic reserve.

Collector of Rates Appointed for the Districts Constituted Under the Hauraki Plains Act 1926 and the Swamp Drainage Act 1915

Pursuant to the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, the Swamp Drainage Act 1915, and the regulations thereunder, and the Rating Act 1925, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints Bruce Henderson Menzies to be collector of rates for the drainage districts constituted in accordance with the above-mentioned Acts.

Officers Authorised to Attest Signatures of Maoris to Instruments of Alienation

Pursuant to section 222 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to authorise the persons named in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs in the positions set out opposite their respective names, to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 222, the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land.

Varying a Notice Authorising Officers to Attest Signatures of Maoris to Instruments of Alienation

Pursuant to section 222 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to vary the notice published in the Gazette on 7 March 1957 at page 445, authorising certain officers in the service of the Crown to attest the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land, by deleting therefrom the name “William John Romminger”, and substituting therefor the name “William James Romminger”. Dated at Wellington this 26th day of June 1957.

Pursuant to section 464 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to authorise the persons named in the Schedule hereto, being officers in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs in the positions set out opposite their respective names, to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said section 464, the signatures of Maoris to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattels Transfer Act 1924.
