HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in
Council of the 1st day of May 1951, published in the
Gazette, 10 May 1951, Volume II, page 645, licensing the
Hauraki Plains County Council to use and occupy parts of
the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Waitakaruru,
on the Waitakaruru River, and at Pipiroa, Kopurahi, Hopai,
Horahia, Ngatea, Puhanga, Kerepeehi (but excluding the
Depot Wharf), Kaihere, Mangawhero, and Patetonga, on the
Piako River, by omitting the word "Pipiroa".

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby revokes, as from the 14th
day of June 1957, the Order in Council of the 3rd day of
April 1946, published in the Gazette, 11 April 1946, page
456, prescribing dues and rates for the use of the wharf at
Pine Island, Auckland Harbour, as shown on plans marked
M.D. 6667 and 9248 and deposited in the office of the Marine
Department at Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Andrew Aitken
Taylor, of Peel Forest, sheep-farmer (hereinafter referred to
as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter
set forth, to take and use from an unnamed stream situated
in Section 36722, S.G.R. 98, Block II, Mount Peel Survey
District, in the County of Geraldine, for the purpose herein-
after set forth, a stream of water not exceeding 1 cubic foot
per second at any one time;
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by
the Water Power Regulations 1934 and the Electrical Supply
Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part
of this license, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent
with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This license is issued under the Water Power Regulations
1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply
Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the
Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations
hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution there-
for respectively.
Utilisation of Water and Location of Headworks
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the
purpose of generating electricity and shall be taken from the
said stream at the point in Section 36722, S.G.R. 98, Block
II, Mount Peel Survey District, indicated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 92669 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-
electric Department at Wellington.
General Description of Works
- The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions
hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works
for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said
works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 92669:
(a) Headworks consisting of a dam, intake, water race,
surge chamber, and pipe line leading to the power-
house hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of
approximately 240 ft.
(b) Water wheel and powerhouse with all necessary equip-
ment for generating electricity, situated in Section
36722, S.G.R. 98, Block II, Mount Peel Survey Dis-
trict.
(c) Tail race leading from the said powerhouse to the
Rangitata River.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be a direct-current system as
described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21-01 of the Electric-
al Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall con-
tinue in force until the 31st day of March 1978.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum
payable in respect of this licence, the maximum generating
capacity of the plant at the commencement of this licence
is 6Β½ kilowatts.
NO RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the
licensee any right to water.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government House at Wellington this 12th day of

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets
apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule
hereto for the common use and benefit of the members of
the Te Hokokeha sub-tribe as a Maori reservation for the
purposes of a meeting place.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land situated in Block I, Hokianga Survey
District, containing 5 acres 3 roods, more or less, and being
all of the land known as Taikarawa C 2A; as is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/321 lodged
in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs,
Wellington, and thereon edged red.
