Boundaries of County of Hutt and Borough of Petone Altered

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of June 1957
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that, as on and from the 1st day of April 1958, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Hutt and included in the Borough of Petone; and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF HUTT AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF PETONE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 78, Hutt District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 78 to its north-western corner; thence northerly generally along the western boundary of Section 39, Maungaraki Settlement, and the western boundaries of Subdivisions 3, 6, 4, 5, and 7, Maungaraki Maori Reserve; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Subdivision 7, Section 44, Normandale Settlement, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Raro Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 45, Normandale Settlement; thence easterly to and along the northern boundaries of that section and their production to the middle of Normandale Road; thence easterly and southerly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 56, Normandale Settlement; thence westerly to and along that boundary for a distance of 450 links from the north-western side of Normandale Road; thence southerly along a right line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 27, as shown on the plan numbered 19019 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Lots 27 and 28, as shown on the plan numbered 19019 aforesaid, and Lot 39 as shown on the plan numbered 18067 deposited as aforesaid, and along the southern side of Raro Road to the north-eastern corner of Lot 40, as shown on the said plan numbered 18067; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Lot 40 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Raro Road; thence northerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 19, as shown on the plan numbered 14031 deposited as aforesaid; thence westerly to and along that boundary and the northern boundary of Lot 21, as shown on the said plan numbered 14031, to the north-western corner of that lot; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of Subdivision Part 8A, Maungaraki Maori Reserve, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Maungaraki Road; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that road and a public walking track to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 2, as shown on the plan numbered 14977, deposited as aforesaid, the said point being a point on the northern boundary of the Borough of Petone, as described in the Gazette, 1888, page 740; thence westerly along the said northern boundary to the north-eastern corner of Section 78, Hutt District, being the point of commencement.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Consent to the Establishment and Maintenance of an Aerodrome by the Wellington City Council

Pursuant to section 5 of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Rongotai Aerodrome Establishment Order 1957.
  2. Consent is hereby given to the establishment and maintenance of an aerodrome by the Wellington City Council at Rongotai in the City of Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Taranaki County Council stopping the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

ALL those pieces of road in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki R.D., described as follows:

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.
