Pursuant to section 3 of the Government Service Tribunal
Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council,
on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, and on the
joint nomination of the service organisations, hereby appoints
James William Gideon Davidson, Esquire, of Wellington,
to be a member of the Government Service Tribunal for a
term of three years commencing on the 12th day of October
1956.

Boundaries of Borough of St. Kilda and City of Dunedin
Altered

Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council
Pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:
(1) That as on and from the 1st day of April 1958 the area
described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from
the Borough of St. Kilda and included in the City of Dunedin.
(2) That as on and from the date aforesaid the area de-
scribed in the Second Schedule hereto shall be excluded from
the City of Dunedin and included in the Borough of St. Kilda.
(3) That the said alteration of boundaries hereinbefore
made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Munici-
pal Corporations Act 1954.
FIRST SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF ST. KILDA AND INCLUDED
IN CITY OF DUNEDIN
All that area in the Otago Land District and the Borough
of St. Kilda containing 19 perches, more or less, bounded by
a line commencing at the north-western corner of D.P. 6095;
thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of
Musselburgh Rise to and along the north-eastern boundary of
Section 70, Block VII, Town Survey District, to the north-
western boundary of Gourley Street; thence south-westerly
along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 2,
D.P. 1459; thence north-westerly along that boundary to a
point in line with the south-eastern boundary of D.P. 6095;
thence to the southern corner of D.P. 6095 and north-westerly
along its south-western boundary to the point of commence-
ment.
SECOND SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM CITY OF DUNEDIN AND INCLUDED IN
BOROUGH OF ST. KILDA
All that area in the Otago Land District and the City of
Dunedin containing 1 acre 1 rood, more or less, bounded
by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Lot 1,
D.P. 3270, being part Sections 184R and 78, Block VII, Town
Survey District; thence south-easterly along the south-western
boundaries of Lots 1, 7, and 8, D.P. 3270, Lots 44 and 45,
D.P. 1746, Lot 2, D.P. 2800, Lots 3, 4, and 7, D.P. 4936, to
and across Ravelston Street, to and along the south-western
boundaries of Lots 58, 59, 60, and 61, D.P. 1746, and Lots 4, 5,
and 8, D.P. 3374, to and across Marlow Street to the western-
most corner of Lot 3, D.P. 3375; thence north-easterly along
the south-eastern boundary of Marlow Street, across Cranley
Street and again along the south-eastern boundary of Marlow
Street to the northernmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 3367; thence
south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. 3367, to the north-western boundary of closed road,
Section 187R; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along
the boundary of the City of Dunedin as described in Gazette,
1956, page 532, to the south-eastern boundary of Section 72,
Block VII, Town Survey District; thence north-easterly along
that boundary to and south-easterly along the south-western
boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 5605, and north-easterly along its
south-eastern boundary to the point of commencement.

Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council and on the
recommendation of the Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby
appoints the under-mentioned persons to be members of the
National Historic Places Trust for a term of three years
as on and from the 1st day of April 1957, these persons having
retired from office in accordance with paragraph (b) of sub-
section (2) of section 6 of that Act:

The Orowaiti Cemetery Order 1957

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 27th day of
May 1957
Present:
The Right Hon. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Orowaiti Cemetery
    Order 1957.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of
    June 1957.
  2. The Westport Borough Council is hereby appointed to be
    the trustee of the Orowaiti Cemetery, being the area described
    in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and manage-
    ment of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the
    Cemeteries Act 1908.
  3. (1) The delegation to the Buller County Council of the
    powers of appointing and removing trustees of the said
    cemetery, made by Order in Council dated the 18th day of
    September 1933, is hereby revoked.
    (2) The said Order in Council is hereby accordingly amended
    by omitting from the second column of the Schedule the word
    "Orowaiti", where it appears opposite the reference to the
    Buller County Council in the first column of that Schedule.
    SCHEDULE
    OROWAITI CEMETERY
    All that area in the Nelson Land District containing 30 acres
    and 3 roods, more or less, being part Section 173, Square 141
    (certificate of title, Volume 26, folio 147, Nelson Land Regis-
    try), Section 62, Square 141, and part Section 2, Block III,
    Kawatiri Survey District.
