MANAWATU CATCHMENT BOARD
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE AN EASEMENT OVER LAND FOR THE PURPOSES OF ACCESS TO A QUARRY
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and its amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Manawatu Catchment Board intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, for the purpose of access to a quarry, an easement over the lands described in the First Schedule hereto vesting in the Chairman and members of the Manawatu Catchment Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) full and free liberty, right, license, and authority in perpetuity to use such land as a right of way with the right for the Board, its tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons having business with it (and in common with the owners for the time being of the balance of the lands in certificates of title, Volume 61, folio 146, and Volume 607, folio 183 (Wellington Registry), their tenants, agents, licensees, workmen, servants, invitees, and persons doing business with such owners) to go, pass, and repass over the said land and to maintain, repair, reconstruct, and keep open the said right of way for the purpose of providing access to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto and such right of way shall be appurtenant to the lands described in the said Second Schedule hereto.
A plan of the said land is deposited at the public office of the Manawatu Catchment Board in Manson and Barr’s Building, Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said easement over the land are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said easement over the land and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Secretary of the Manawatu Catchment Board, Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North.
FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL those parcels of land situate in the Provincial District of Wellington containing:
Firstly: 16·7 perches, be the same a little more or less, and coloured blue on Survey Office Plan 22993 and being part of Lot 16 on Deposited Plan 426 being part of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2A No. 5, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 61, folio 146 (Wellington Registry) and being bounded as follows; commencing at a point on the right bank of the old bed of the Tokomaru River and proceeding north-west on a bearing of 81° 09’ for a distance of 105 links; thence south-east on a bearing of 157° 26’ for a distance of 260 links; then south-west along the said right bank of the old bed of the Tokomaru River for approximately 31 links; thence north-west on a bearing of 337° 26’ for 230 links; thence south-west on a bearing of 261° 09’ for a distance of 95 links; thence north-east along the said right bank for a distance of approximately 31 links to the point of commencement.
Secondly: 7·2 perches, be the same a little more or less, and coloured orange on Survey Office Plan 22993 and being part of Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 15880 being parts of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2A No. 5 and 2A (railway reserve), and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 607, folio 183 (Wellington Registry) and being bounded as follows; commencing at a point on the boundary of South Highway No. 96 proceeding north-east on a bearing of 87° 40’ 30” for a distance of 139·2 links; thence south-west on a bearing of 189° 07’ for a distance of 30·9 links; thence south-west on a bearing of 267° 40’ 30” for a distance of 159·5 links; thence north-east along the boundary of South Highway No. 96 for a distance of 40·3 links to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
All that parcel of land situate in the Provincial District of Wellington containing 3 acres 1 rood 10 perches, be the same a little more or less, being part of Lot 21, Block V, Arawaru Survey District, on Deposited Plan 426, being a part of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2A No. 3 and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 648, folio 62, together with right of way over that parcel of land containing 2 acres 38·6 perches, be the same a little more or less, coloured orange on Survey Office Plan 22993 and being part of Lot 21 on Deposited Plan 426, being a part of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2A No. 1, 2A No. 2, 2A No. 3, and 2A No. 5 and part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 648, folio 62 (Wellington Registry).

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD PURPOSES UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Horowhenua require to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto. The lands are required for the purpose of a public work, namely, for a road.
Notice is hereby given that a plan of the said lands is open for inspection at the offices of the Horowhenua County Council, Bath Street, Levin.
All persons affected by such taking are hereby required to set forth in writing any well grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Bath Street, Levin.

MOUNT MAUNGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR WATER SUPPLY, CATCHMENT, AND CONSERVATION PURPOSES
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mount Maunganui Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute certain public works, namely, water supply, catchment, and conservation, and for the purposes of such public works the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui, and in the shop premises of W. H. Bongard, Esquire, chemist, situated in Greerton, Tauranga, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Mount Maunganui Borough Council, Maunganui Road, Mount Maunganui.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of land required to be taken: 900 acres.
Being part Oropi No. 1 Block, Block VI, Otanewainuku Survey District.
Being part Oropi No. 1 Block, Block XI, Otanewainuku 69, South Auckland Land Registry; coloured pink.
