It is hereby resolved as a special resolution:

“1. That the Dunedin-Wanganui Shipping Co. Ltd. be wound up voluntarily.

“2. That James Archibald Valentine, of Dunedin, public accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company for the purpose of winding up its affairs and distributing the assets of the company.”

NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE

In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and in the matter of the Dunedin-Wanganui Shipping Co. Ltd.

The liquidator of the Dunedin-Wanganui Shipping Co. Ltd., which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 31st day of July 1957 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Act or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before the debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to the distribution.

Notice is hereby given that the partnership formerly subsisting between us, Michael Robert Berryman and Owen Lawrence Byrne, of Gisborne, commercial cleaners, carrying on business at Gisborne as B. and B. Home Service, has been dissolved as from the 30th day of April 1957, from which date the said Michael Robert Berryman has carried on and will in future carry on the said business on his own account under the said name of B. and B. Home Service.

As from the said 30th day of April 1957, the said Michael Robert Berryman is the sole owner of the business and is entitled to receive all moneys payable thereto and its responsible for all present and future liabilities of the said business.

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Sewerage Completion Loan 1956, £26,000 (Second Issue (£5,000)

EXTRACT from the minutes of a special meeting of the Opotiki Borough Council held on the 14th day of May 1957:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Opotiki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of drainage and sewerage works and works for the disposal of sewage within the Borough of Opotiki, the said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point four three one of a penny (431d.) in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Opotiki; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

“I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Opotiki Borough Council held on the 14th day of May 1957.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan No. 4, 1957, £50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £50,000 authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·25 of a penny (4d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 27 May 1957.

BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Plant Loan (1956) £7,000

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the loan of £7,000 authorised to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing new plant, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-three one hundred and twenty-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Motueka, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
