The Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1957

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 15th day of May 1957
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Land and Income Tax Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- This order may be cited as the Land and Income Tax Payment Order 1957.
- This order applies to land tax and income tax for the year of assessment commencing on the 1st day of April 1957.
- Land tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 17th day of September 1957.
- Income tax shall be due and payable in one sum on the 6th day of February 1958.
- Land tax and income tax shall be payable at any office of the Taxes Division, Inland Revenue Department, or at any money-order post office.

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council of the 29th day of May 1946, published in the Gazette, 6 June 1946, Volume II, page 765, vesting the control of part of the foreshore at Karitane, Block XII, Waikouaiti Survey District, in trustees, by omitting the words “Laurence Murray Fraser, Oliff Edward Johnston, and John Steven” and substituting therefor “Rata Kent, Leonard Edward Anderson, and Peter Francis Curtin”.
And hereby revokes the Orders in Council of the 3rd day of November 1948, published in the Gazette, 11 November 1948, Volume III, page 1370, of the 24th day of May 1950, published in the Gazette, 1 June 1950, Volume II, page 725; and of the 24th day of August 1954, published in the Gazette, 2 September 1954, Volume III, page 1392, appointing trustees for the control of part of the foreshore at Karitane, Waikouaiti River.

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council of the 13th day of March 1946, published in the Gazette, 21 March 1946, Volume I, page 348, as amended by Order in Council of the 20th day of January 1954, published in the Gazette, 28 January 1954, Volume I, page 118, vesting the management of the jetty at Karitane, Waikouaiti River, in trustees, by omitting the words “Laurence Murray Fraser, Oliff Edward Johnston, and John Steven” and substituting therefor “Rata Kent, Leonard Edward Anderson, and Peter Francis Curtin”.

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council of the 16th day of April 1947, published in the Gazette, 24 April 1947, Volume I, page 484, vesting in trustees the management of the slipway at Karitane, Waikouaiti River, by omitting the words “James Blair, Laurence Murray Fraser, Oliff Edward Johnston” and substituting therefor “Rata Kent, Leonard Edward Anderson, and Peter Francis Curtin”.
And hereby revokes the Order in Council of the 20th day of October 1948, published in the Gazette, 28 October 1948, Volume III, page 1317, appointing trustees for the management of the slipway at Karitane, Waikouaiti River.

Pursuant to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 14 March 1932, and published in the Gazette, 17 March 1932, Volume I, page 546, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known as Hauhungaroa 1A 1 and other blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown, by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Takihihu Tribe as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place.
