Boundaries of County of Peninsula and City of Dunedin Altered

C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General ORDER IN COUNCIL At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 22nd day of May 1957 Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 35 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of June 1957 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Peninsula and included in the City of Dunedin; and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said city hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

SCHEDULE

AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF PENINSULA AND INCLUDED IN CITY OF DUNEDIN ALL that area in the Otago Land District, the Peninsula County, and the Highcliff Riding, containing 12 acres 2 roods, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Section 1, Block VIII, Andersons Bay Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, Block VIII aforesaid, to Highcliff Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Highcliff Road to the boundary of the City of Dunedin as described in Gazette, 1956, page 532; thence north-westerly along that city boundary through Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block VIII, Andersons Bay Survey District, to the point of commencement.

Taking Land for Public Purposes at Rarotonga (Cook Islands)

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 357 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby takes the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the following public purpose, namely, education.

SCHEDULE

ALL those parcels of land situated in the district of Ngatangiia in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 1 acre 2 roods 1 perch, more or less, being part of the land named by the Native Land Court Tuki-a-te-Ngaru, Section 13F, Ngati Au Tapere, and 1 acre 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being part of the land named by the Native Land Court Aromanga, Section 13E, Ngati Au Tapere; as the same are delineated and coloured yellow and blue respectively on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under No. 63.

Authorising the Laying Off of Edinburgh Crescent in the Borough of Blenheim, Subject to Conditions as to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Blenheim Borough Council to lay off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the conditions that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 2 and 12 of a subdivision of land fronting the said street, as shown on the plan referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 35 ft., from the centre line of the said street, or on Lots 3 to 11 (both inclusive) and Lots 13 to 17 (both inclusive) of the said subdivision within a distance of 15 ft., from the side lines of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Marlborough Land District, Borough of Blenheim, to be known as Edinburgh Crescent, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 15.72 perches, being Lot 18 on a plan lodged for deposit at the Land and Deeds Registry Office at Blenheim under No. 2352; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 153440, and thereon coloured red.
