Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land
described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest
land.
SCHEDULE
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas in Wallace County containing by estimation
2,245 acres, more or less, and described generally as follows:
All that area containing by estimation 1,305 acres, more
or less, being Section 28 and part of Sections 26 and 29,
Block III, Longwood Survey District, and Crown land situated
in Blocks I, III, and XXII, Longwood Survey District, and
bounded generally as follows: towards the west by Sections
2 of 15, and 1 of 15, Block I aforesaid; towards the north
and west by Section 14, Block XVI, Longwood Survey District;
again towards the west by Section 13, Block XVI aforesaid;
towards the north, north-east, east, again towards the north,
again towards the east, again towards the north, and again
towards the east, by permanent State forest (Gazette, 1886,
page 253); towards the north by a right line due east to the
right bank of the Waimeamea River; towards the north-east
and south generally by the aforesaid river bank to a point
due south of the south-eastern corner of Section 25, Block III
aforesaid; towards the west by a right line to the south-eastern
corner of Section 25 aforesaid and thence by that section;
towards the north-west and south-west generally by a public
road; towards the south by Section 27, Block III aforesaid;
towards the west and south by Section 18, Block I aforesaid;
and again towards the west and south by Section 17, Block I
aforesaid.
Also all that area containing by estimation 940 acres, more
or less, being Section 22 and part of Sections 21, 26, and 29,
Block III, Longwood Survey District, and Crown land situated
in Blocks III and XIII, Longwood Survey District, and
bounded generally as follows: towards the west and south by
Section 24, Block III aforesaid, to a river-bank reserve along
the left bank of the Waimeamea River; again towards the
south generally by a right line to the easternmost corner of
Section 26, Block III aforesaid, and by a river-bank reserve
along the right bank of the Waimeamea River; towards the
north-west, east, north, east, north-east, and south-east by
permanent State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 253); towards
the south-west and south-east by Section I, Block XIII afore-
said, being provisional State forest (Gazette, 1951, page 1757);
and towards the south-west by a public road. Save and except-
ing all public roads.
As shown on plan No. 210/43 deposited in the head office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red and blue, respectively.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 15th day of May 1957.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas in the Waimea County containing 52 acres
and 32 perches, more or less, being Sections 174, 175, and 176,
Square 6, and Sections 160 and 161, Square 5, situated in
Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Wai-iti Survey District, Section 44,
Block XIV, Wai-iti Survey District, and Section 54, Block II,
Gordon Survey District, being formerly closed road passing
through or adjoining Sections 43, 44, 45, and parts of Section
46, Square 6, parts of Sections 45, 46, and 47, Square 5,
situated in Blocks IX, XIII, and XIV, Wai-iti Survey District,
Sections 30 and 31, Block XIV, Wai-iti Survey District, and
Sections 22, 27, 41, and 44, Block II, Gordon Survey District.
As shown on plan No. 102/39 deposited in the Head Office of
the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. (S.O. Plan 9793.)

Additional Land at Hikurangi Taken for the Purposes of the
Whangarei-Kamo Extension Railway

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of the Whangarei-Kamo Extension
Railway.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of additional land taken: 21·2
perches.
Being part street in Proclamation 1451.
Situated in Block XVI, Hukerenui Survey District.
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14675 de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington,
and thereon coloured green, edged green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 14th day of May 1957.

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 35 of the Local Government Commission
Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
declares that as on and from the 1st day of June 1957 the
area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from
the County of Waitaki and included in the Borough of
Oamaru; and with the like advice and consent hereby also
declares that the alteration of the boundaries of the said
county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be
deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corpora-
tions Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF WAITAKI AND INCLUDED IN
BOROUGH OF OAMARU
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, the Waitaki County,
and the Kakanui and Waiareka Ridings, containing 400 acres,
more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersec-
tion of the western boundary of the Oamaru Borough and the
south-eastern boundary of the South Island Main Trunk
Railway, being the northernmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 4267;
then generally westerly along the southern and south-
eastern boundary of that railway to Cave Valley Road;
then south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of that
road to and easterly along the northern boundary of the
Timaru-Dunedin State Highway to a point in line with the
eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 5893; then generally south-
erly to and along the eastern, south-eastern, and southern
boundaries of Lot 1, Deposited Plan 5893, and the northern
and western boundaries of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 5893, to the
north-western boundary of Lot 8, Deposited Plan 1617; then
south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and
south-western boundaries of that Lot 8, to and across the
South Oamaru-Waianakarua Main Highway to the north-
western boundary of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 7510; then
south-westerly and easterly along the north-western and south-
ern boundaries of that Lot 2, to and easterly along the southern
boundaries of Lots 25, 24, and 20, Deposited Plan 1617, to
a point 275 links west of the western boundary of Deposited
Plan 203; then southerly along a line parallel to and 275
links west of that boundary to a point in line with the north-
eastern boundary of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 203; then south-
easterly to and along that boundary and its production across
the Kakanui Beach Road to a point 250 links south-east of the
south-eastern boundary of that road; then north-easterly
along a line parallel to and 250 links distant from that road
to the south-western boundary of Lot 14, D.P. 1544; then
south-easterly and north-easterly along the south-western and
south-eastern boundaries of that Lot 14 to its easternmost
corner; then to and north-easterly along a line parallel to
and distant 250 links from the south-eastern boundary of
Kakanui Beach Road to the southern boundary of the Borough
of Oamaru; then generally north-westerly along that bound-
ary as described in Gazette, 1954, page 1144, to the south-
eastern boundary of the South Island Main Trunk Railway,
the point of commencement.
