Amending Declaration of Land, Otago Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 30 March 1933, Volume I, page 579, notifying and declaring an area of land in the Otago Acclimatisation District to be a sanctuary under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, and hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
FIVE islands known as Bird Islands, situated 22 to 32 chains south of Section 13, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District, and bounded on all sides by the Pacific Ocean.
As the same are shown on plan marked I.A. 52/358 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 11th day of May 1957.

Amending Declaration of Land, Wellington Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying and declaring certain areas of land to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, to the extent appearing in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
A certain area in the Kopuaranga Survey District: All that area in the Wellington Land District being part of Section 32, Block V, Kopuaranga Survey District, and Blocks VIII and XII, Mikimiki Survey District, and being part of the land described in Deeds Volume 171, folio 6, in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of May 1957.

Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
NELSON LAND DISTRICT-NELSON CONSERVANCY
All those areas in Golden Bay County containing by admeasurement 12,300 acres, more or less, and described generally as follows:
All that area containing by admeasurement 6,300 acres more or less, situated in Blocks XIV and XVIII, Waingaro Survey District, Blocks II, III, IV, VII, and VIII, Harapaki Survey District, and Block I, Flora Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at Mount Cobb, thence in a south-easterly direction generally by the boundary of Golden Bay County (Gazette, 1956, page 1386) to Mount Peel; thence by a right line to the confluence of Deep Creek with Lake Peel, and by Deep Creek to the boundary of provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2113); thence in easterly and north-easterly directions generally by the said provisional State forest boundary to the boundary of a reserve for the development of water power (Gazette, 1948, page 1251); thence in south-westerly, northerly, and north-easterly directions generally by the boundary of the said reserve to the boundary of provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2113); thence in north-westerly, south-westerly, and westerly directions generally by the said provisional State forest boundary to the boundary of provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 928); thence in north-westerly, westerly, south-easterly, south-westerly, and north-westerly directions generally by the said provisional State forest boundary to the boundary of permanent State forest (Gazette, 1943, page 1382); thence in southerly and westerly directions generally by the said permanent State forest boundary to the point of commencement. Excluding therefrom all legal roads and public tracks.
Also all that area containing by admeasurement 6,000 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks XIV, XV, XVI, XIX, and XX, Waingaro Survey District, and Blocks III and IV, Harapaki Survey District. Bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the boundary of permanent State forest (Gazette, 1943, page 1382) with the southern boundary of Block X, Waingaro Survey District; thence in an easterly direction by the southern boundaries of Blocks X and XI, Waingaro Survey District, to the boundary of provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 928); thence in southerly, westerly, south-easterly, easterly, and southerly directions generally by the said provisional State forest boundary, to the boundary of provisional State forest (Gazette, 1920, page 2113); thence in southerly, westerly, north-westerly, and north-easterly directions generally by the said provisional State forest boundary to permanent State forest (Gazette, 1943, page 1382); thence in a north-easterly direction generally by the said permanent State forest boundary to the point of commencement.
As the same are more particularly delineated on plan No. 102/38 deposited in the head office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand this 27th day of April 1957.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 20th day of May 1957.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 8 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 40554, being part Allotment 14, Waitakotiti Parish.
Situated in Block II, Titirangi Survey District, Waitemata County. (S.O. 39973.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14689 deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
