TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Takapuna Water Reticulation Loan, Ward A, 1954, £140,000

(Part Issue of £28,000)

The following resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting
of the Takapuna Borough Council held on 19 March 1957:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on the Water Reticulation Loan, Ward A, 1954,
£140,000 (part issue of £28,000) being the sum of twenty-eight
thousand pounds (£28,000) authorised to be raised by the
Takapuna Borough Council by way of special loan under the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of completing
the water reticulation for domestic supply and providing adequate mains for fire fighting in all dedicated streets in Ward A
of the Borough of Takapuna, the Takapuna Borough Council
makes and levies a special rate of decimal one six eight of one
penny (0·168d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in
Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid
off."

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

Notice is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
and the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, to execute the
public works hereunder mentioned and for the purposes of
which public works the land described in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken; and notice is hereby given that a
plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the
public office of the said Whakatane County Council situated
at The Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection without
fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons
affected by the execution of the said public works or by the
taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to
the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the
said land must state their objections in writing and send the
same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this
notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.

The section is situated in Block X of the Rangitaiki Upper
Survey District and is required to be taken for rubbish disposal.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

Notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, resubdivision and improvement within the Freemans Bay Reclamation Area under Part II of the Housing Improvement Act 1945, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Pursuant to the Town and Country Planning Regulations
1954, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the
Waimea County District, excluding Stoke Riding Section,
was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its
meeting held on the 8th day of March 1957, after all objections relating to the scheme had been disposed of, and there
being no appeals or arbitrations, the scheme had been
amended to give effect to all objections allowed.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come
into operation on the 15th day of April 1957.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in
the County Office, Trafalgar Street, Nelson; Nelson Institute,
Hardy Street, Nelson; Public Library, Richmond; Public
Library, Wakefield; Public Library, Motueka; and may be
inspected without fee by any person who so requires at any
time when these places are open to the public.
