THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
General Extension and Improvement Loan 1957 of £800,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Auckland Electric Power Board Act 1921–22, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £800,000 known as the General Extension and Improvement Loan 1957 of £800,000 for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s area and generally extending, strengthening and re-organising its supply, the Auckland Electric Power Board doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-twentieth (¹/₂₀th) of a penny in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Auckland Electric Power District comprising the City of Auckland together with the Boroughs of Ellerslie, Howick, Manurewa, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Newmarket, Onehunga, One Tree Hill, Otahuhu, Papakura, Papatoetoe, the road districts of Panmure and Western Waiheke, and the County of Manukau, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SOUTHLAND CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Duck Creek Works Loan 1956, £25,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities’ Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Southland Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £25,000 known as the Duck Creek Works Loan 1956 authorised to be raised by the Southland Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting the Board’s share of the cost of improvements to Duck Creek and its tributaries, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on a graduated scale according to a classification made for the purposes of such rate of the lands within that part of the Southland Catchment District defined in the Southland Catchment Board Empowering Act 1953 and known as the Duck Creek Drainage Rating District, as follows:
Seven decimal nine eight shillings (7·98s.) per acre on lands classified as Class A,
Six decimal six five shillings (6·65s.) per acre on lands classified as Class B,
Five decimal three two shillings (5·32s.) per acre on lands classified as Class C, and
One decimal three three shillings (1·33s.) per acre on lands classified as Class D;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Southland Catchment Board held on the 27th day of March 1957.

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) enabling it, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Sewerage Loan No. 6 (1955) of £38,000 (fifth and final portion of £7,500) authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the sewerage reticulation of the Borough of Levin, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of forty-three four-hundredths (43/400ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin, comprising the whole of the Borough of Levin; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers (if any) enabling it, the Levin Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Water Supply Loan (1955) of £4,700 authorised to be raised by the Levin Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the Borough high-pressure water supply scheme, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-seven four-hundredths (27/400ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Levin, comprising the whole of the Borough of Levin; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NORTH CANTERBURY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
I, Henry Thompson Metherell, Chairman of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board, do hereby certify that the following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the North Canterbury Electric Power Board held in Rangiora on the 19th day of March 1957:
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and by all other powers enabling it thereto, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the North Canterbury Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the North Canterbury Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the North Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fifteenth of a penny in the pound on the rateable capital value of all rateable property of all portions of the Rangiora, Kowai, Eyre, Oxford, Ashley, Waipara, Cheviot, Amuri, and Kaikoura Counties within the Board’s district; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 28th day of February in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
Takapuna Sewerage Extension Loan, Ward A, 1954, £32,000
(Part Issue of £12,000)
The following resolution was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held on 19 March 1957:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Sewerage Extension Loan, Ward A, 1954, £32,000 (part issue of £12,000) being the sum of twelve thousand pounds (£12,000) authorised to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council by way of special loan under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of providing sewerage reticulation in further areas in Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna, the Takapuna Borough Council makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought seven two of one penny (0·072d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
