Declaring Land, Southland Acclimatisation District, to be a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
Sections 55, 56, 65, 68, and 69, Block VI, Jacobs River Hundred. Area: 271 acres and 10 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 471.) Part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 5, folio 71.
As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/427 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of March 1957.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street at Wanganui

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Wanganui City Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of land: 2 acres 2 roods 13.55 perches.
Railway land, being part Sections 19 and 20, Right Bank Wanganui River.
Situated in Block III, Westmere Survey District, City of Wanganui. (S.O. 23476.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14169 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Amending Declaration of Land, Rotorua Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrants published in Gazette, 2 March 1939, Volume I, page 320, and Gazette, 28 November 1940, Volume III, page 3489, notifying and declaring certain areas of land to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 22nd day of March 1957.

The South Head Rabbit District Order 1957 (Notice No. Ag. 6265)

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 20th day of March 1957
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the South Head Rabbit District Order 1957.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

The boundaries of the South Head Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of November 1944, are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE SOUTH HEAD RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area of approximately 88,000 acres in the Waitemata County in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in Block V, Kumeu Survey District, in line with the north-western boundary of Ururua No. 1A 1 Block in Block VI, Kumeu Survey District, and running generally north-westerly, easterly, southeasterly, and then southerly along the sea coast to and along the southern shores of the Kaipara Harbour, to and up the left bank of the Kaipara River, to and up the left bank of the Waipatukahu Stream in Block VI aforesaid, to the north-western boundary of Ongarahu A No. 1 Block; thence south-westerly along that north-western boundary, crossing the intervening North Auckland Railway and the Auckland-Helensville State Highway, and along the north-western boundaries of Ongarahu C, D, and part E Blocks, to and along the eastern boundaries of the parts Ongarahu E and Maramatawhana C Blocks taken for sand-dune reclamation by Proclamation published in Gazette, No. 51, of the 5th day of July 1934, at page 2083, and the eastern boundary of the part Puketapu Block taken as aforesaid by Proclamation published in Gazette No. 79 of the 25th day of October 1934, at page 3379, to and along the north-western boundary of Ururua No. 1A 1 Block, and along a right line being that boundary produced to the point of commencement.
