Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby varies the notice dated 29 November 1946 and published in the Gazette on 12 December 1946 at page 1873, declaring parts of the Whangaroa Tribal District to be tribal committee areas for the purposes of the said Act, by excluding from the Schedule thereto the description of the Pupuke Tribal Committee Area and substituting therefor the descriptions appearing in the Schedule hereto.

PUPUKE TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point where the eastern boundary of Pupuke No. 1 Block meets the shore of Whangaroa Harbour in Block I, Kaeo Survey District; thence proceeding easterly generally to and along the middle of the Whangaroa Harbour to the middle of the mouth of the Kaeo River in Block II, Kaeo Survey District; thence south-easterly along a straight line in the direction of Trig. Station Te Whau on the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Kaeo Survey District, to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Allotment 44, Kaeo Parish, in Block III, Kaeo Survey District; thence westerly along a straight line passing through Trig. Station W.13 (Pakewakewa) in Block V, Kaeo Survey District, to its intersection with a straight line between the junction of the eastern boundary of Pupuke No. 1 Block with the shore of Whangaroa Harbour and a point in the middle of the Mangapa River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 122, Pupuke Parish, in Block XIII, Kaeo Survey District; thence north-easterly along the last-mentioned straight line to the point of commencement.
