All that area bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern boundary of Allotment 44, Kaeo Parish, in Block III, Kaeo Survey District, with a straight line between the middle of the mouth of the Kaeo River in Block II, Kaeo Survey District, and Trig. Station Te Whau on the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Kaeo Survey District, thence south-easterly along the said straight line to Kaeo Trig. Station, being a point on the boundary of the Whangaroa Tribal District as described in the Gazette of 1946 at page 1863; thence south-westerly and north-westerly generally along that district boundary to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 122, Pupuke Parish, in Block XIII, Kaeo Survey District; thence north-easterly along a straight line in the direction of the junction of the eastern boundary of Pupuke No. 1 Block with the shore of Whangaroa Harbour to its intersection with the production of a straight line between the point of commencement and Trig. Station W. 13 (Pakewakewa) in Block V, Kaeo Survey District; thence to and along the last-mentioned straight line to the point of commencement.

Notice Prescribing Manner of Delineating or Marking-Out Class I and Class J Traffic Signs
PURSUANT to subclause (1) of regulation 122 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby prescribes, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the manner of delineating or marking-out with reflectors or reflecting or luminous material Class I and Class J traffic signs.
SCHEDULE
SCOTCHLITE wide angle flat-top reflective sheeting shall be used. The red outer band shall be covered with red sheeting or with silver sheeting coloured with scotchlite red transparent ink. The white or silver circular background to the numerals and words shall be covered with silver sheeting.

Approval of Signalling Devices Under the Traffic Regulations
PURSUANT to subclause (2) of regulation 17 of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of a driver indicating his intention to turn or move to the right or to draw out from the kerb towards his right, signalling devices of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

A mechanical direction indicator capable of giving a signal closely corresponding to the signal described in paragraph (b) of subclause (1) of regulation 17 of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

Flashing-light direction indicators which shall comply with the following requirements:
(i) The indicators shall show a white or amber light to the front and simultaneously an amber or red light to the rear;
(ii) Each lens shall have a frontal area of not less than 3½ square inches;
(iii) The power of the bulb in each lamp shall not be less than 15 watts and not more than 36 watts;
(iv) The lights shall begin to flash not later than one second after the controlling switch is operated. When in operation the lights shall flash constantly at a rate of not less than 60 or more than 120 flashes per minute;
(v) The lights shall be fitted near the off side of the vehicle in such positions as to give a reasonable indication to other road users of the driver’s intention to turn or pull out from the kerb; and
(vi) A device shall be fitted so that the driver, when in his seat, is readily aware when the direction indicators are in operation and also when either the front or rear light fails to function:
Provided that the light showing to the front may be incorporated in the side-light assembly of the vehicle and the light showing to the rear may be incorporated in the tail-light assembly, subject to the power of the side light or tail light, as the case may be, not exceeding 7 watts, and subject to bulbs in the flashing lamps having either bulbs or electric filaments separate from those used for the side light or tail light, as the case may be.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
