Pursuant to the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Bob Marsters, of Palmerston Island,
to be an officer of Police in the Cook Islands with effect from the 28th day of January 1957.

Appointment of Wharves in New Zealand
Pursuant to section 19 of the Customs Act 1913, and to powers delegated to him by the Minister of Customs under section 11 of that Act, the Comptroller of Customs hereby appoints the places described in the Schedule hereto to be wharves for the lading and unlading of goods, and hereby revokes all existing appointments of places throughout New Zealand as wharves for the purposes of that Act.
SCHEDULE
Places Appointed as wharves:
Port of Auckland-
Kings, Marsden, Queens, Wynyard, Captain Cook, Princes, Chelsea, New Hobson, Bledisloe, and Jellicoe Wharves; the jetty and landing stage at the aircraft mooring area adjacent to the eastern tide deflector in Mechanics Bay; the Pakenham Street Wharf area; the British Petroleum tanker berth at the eastern Tide Wharf; the Onehunga Wharf, Manukau Harbour.
Port of Dunedin-
Ravensbourne Wharf; Birch Street, Rattray Street, Kitchener Street, Victoria, and Cross Wharves, at Dunedin; George Street, and Export Wharves, and Bowen Pier, at Port Chalmers.
Port of Gisborne-
Wharves 1, 2, 3, situated in the Kaiti Basin; and wharves 4, 5, 6, comprising the breastwork on the eastern side of the harbour entrance channel.
Port of Greymouth-
The Breastwork Wharf from opposite the end of Tainui Street to the eastward side of the entrance to the Tidal Dock.
Port of Invercargill-
The wharf at Bluff.
Port of Lyttelton-
The jetties 1 to 7; the Breastwork Wharf, including Gladstone Pier, extending from jetty 1 to the end of Officer's Point Mole, Inner Harbour; the Oil Wharf situated on the northern side of the Naval Point reclamation area.
Port of Napier-
Wharves 3, 4, at the Breakwater Harbour.
Port of Nelson-
Harbour Board, and Breastwork Wharves.
Port of New Plymouth-
Moturoa and Newton King Wharves.
Port of Oamaru-
Sumpter and Holmes Wharves.
Port of Tauranga-
Mount Maunganui Wharf at Mount Maunganui; the Railway Wharf at Tauranga.
Port of Timaru-
Wharves 1, 2, 3.
Port of Wairau (including Picton)-
Levin's and Eckford's Wharves at Blenheim; the Railway Wharf at Picton.
Port of Waitangi (Chatham Islands)-
Wharf.
Port of Wanganui-
Town Wharf abutting on Taupo Quay and extending approximately 1,000 ft. from the bridge; 1, 2, and Meuli Wharves abutting on the Wanganui River at Castlecliff.
Port of Wellington-
Clyde Quay, Taranaki Street, Queens, Waterloo Quay, Inter- Island, Glasgow, Kings, and Pipitea Wharves; Breastwork Wharf extending from the eastern side of the Taranaki Street Wharf to the eastern side of the Pipitea Wharf, thence in a north-easterly direction for 1,430 ft., and thence in a northerly direction for 3,681 ft.
