A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the said Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
SECTIONS 17, 18, and 22, Block VIII, Whangape Survey District: Area, 798 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less.
As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/278 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 17399; L. and S. D.O. File 13/1.)

Amending Declaration of Land, Bay of Islands Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, in so far as that Warrant relates to the Bay of Islands Acclimatisation District, and hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.

SECTION 3, Block X, Punakitere Survey District. Area, 282 acres, more or less. (S.O. Plan 19046.)
As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked I.A. 52/315 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Amending Declaration of Land, Wanganui Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, in so far as that Warrant relates to the Wanganui Acclimatisation District; and hereby proclaim and declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE

  1. Hipango Park: All that area in the Wellington Land District, County of Waitotara, Lot 2, as shown on plan numbered 2587 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington and being also part Puketarata 4E 1. Area: 30 acres, more or less, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 215, folio 189.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/320 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
  2. Kaitoke Lake: All that area in the Wellington Land District, County of Wanganui, comprising Lake Kaitoke and all the land within ten chains of its shores.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/138 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Matipo Park: All that area in the Wellington Land District, County of Waitotara, being those parts of Lot 4, as shown on the plan numbered 2187 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, being parts of Sections 33, 34, and 228, Right Bank Wanganui River, and containing 81 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, and 3 roods 14:5 perches, more or less, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 224, folio 219, Wellington Registry.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/319 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
  4. Westmere Lake: All that area in the Wellington Land District, County of Waitotara, comprising Lake Westmere and all the land within ten chains distance of its shores.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/318 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

    Amending Declaration of Land, Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation District, as a Wildlife Refuge

    A PROCLAMATION
    PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrants notifying and declaring the areas of land described in the First Schedule hereto to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22; and I hereby proclaim and declare the areas of land described in the Second Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953.
    FIRST SCHEDULE
    AREAS REVOKED AS SANCTUARIES UNDER THE ANIMALS PROTECTION AND GAME ACT 1921-22
  5. Lot 13, Tangarewa Estate: All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing 366 acres, being Lot 13, Tangarewa Estate, the property of Mr. C. T. Dampney, of Ngahere.
  6. All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, being the bed of the Tukituki River, extending from the Waimarama Bridge to a line running from the north of the Mangangara Stream to the road at the south-western corner of Sections 9 and 15 in the Te Mata Survey District.
  7. Te Mata Park: All that parcel of land in the Hawke's Bay Land District, known as Te Mata Park, situated in Block IV, Kidnapper, and Block VIII, Te Mata Survey Districts, containing by admeasurement 242 acres and 35 perches, more or less, and being Lots 4 and 5 on plan No. 4149 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, which said parcel of land is portion of Havelock Suburban Sections 44 and 45 and of Block 9, Te Mata Crown Grant District, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 41, folio 249; as the same is delineated on the plan marked I.A. 1935/37/17 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
    SECOND SCHEDULE
    AREAS DECLARED TO BE WILDLIFE REFUGES UNDER THE WILDLIFE ACT 1953.
  8. Te Mata Park: Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 4149, being parts Havelock Suburban Sections 44 and 49, and part Block 9, Te Mata Crown Grant District, situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Te Mata Survey District, and Block IV, Kidnapper Survey District. Area: 242 acres and 35 perches, more or less.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/307 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
  9. Parts of Lots 1 of D.P. 3168, 2 of D.P. 3222, 3 of D.P. 7381, 1 of D.P. 7410, 4 and 6 of D.P. 7468, 2 of D.P. 7801, 1 of D.P. 8821, 1 of D.P. 8874, and Lot 8, D.P. 7381, situated in Blocks VIII and XII, Te Mata Survey District, and Block IV, Kidnapper Survey District.
    As the same is shown on plan marked I.A. 52/321 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.
