as representative on the Marlborough Hospital Board of the Sounds County (being a part of the Marlborough Hospital District and being a county in which the Counties Act 1920 is not in force).

Authorising Waitemata County Council to Fix Water Charges According to Quantity Used

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 97 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Waitemata County Council making and levying water rates and charges, in respect both of the ordinary as well as of any extraordinary supply, according to the quantity of water consumed by any person receiving the same as measured by meter, at such rates or charges as may from time to time be fixed by any bylaw of the Council in that behalf, or as may be agreed on with any such person.

Appointing a Qualified Person to be a Representative of the City of Gisborne on the Poverty Bay Catchment Board

WHEREAS the City of Gisborne is a constituent district of the Poverty Bay Catchment District and is entitled to two representatives on the Poverty Bay Catchment Board:

And whereas the said constituent district, at the election held on 17 November 1956, elected only one representative:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 51 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints

Robert Macdonald, of Gisborne, woolclasser,

to be a representative of the City of Gisborne on the Poverty Bay Catchment Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 15th day of January 1957.
