Closed Road in Block II, Rodney Survey District, Added to Land Taken for a Public School

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed road, described in the First Schedule hereto to be added to the land taken for a public school, described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of closed road: 1 rood 24 perches.
Adjoining Allotments 93, 94, and 95, Village of Leigh.
Situated in Block II, Rodney Survey District, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 39069.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 151573 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
SECOND SCHEDULE
LAND TAKEN FOR A PUBLIC SCHOOL
ALL that area of land in Block II, Rodney Survey District, North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being all the land in Proclamation 14193, Auckland Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 12th day of January 1957.

Changing the Name of the Ashburton Electric Power Board to the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 21 of the Electricity and Gas Coordination Act 1956, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare that the name of the Ashburton Electric Power Board shall, from the 1st day of April 1957, be changed to the Ashburton Electric Power and Gas Board.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of January 1957.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of January 1957
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngatiwai Tribe as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a recreation ground.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that area of land situated in Block X, Opuawhanga Survey District, containing 62 acres, more or less, and being all of the land known as the Otito Block; as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered M.A. 21/3/315 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Housing Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access way described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland and be under the control and management of the Auckland City Council.
