WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN accordance with the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,700 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1928 for the purpose of erecting a dwelling for staff housing, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·02475d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years, or until the loan is paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the said loan.”

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Supplementary Water Works Loan 1956, £80,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it and in lieu of the previous resolution passed on the 26th day of March 1956, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighty thousand pounds (£80,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the Tiritea dam and treatment plant, installing distribution mains and a gauging station, and purchasing land, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and four one-thousandths of one penny (204/1000d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 30th day of April 1956.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Supplementary Waterworks Loan No. 2 1956, £45,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and its amendments and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and repayment charges on a loan of forty-five thousand pounds (£45,000) authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of refunding to district fund account moneys advanced thereout for construction of the Tiritea dam and treatment plant, installation of distribution mains and gauging station, and purchase of land, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-nine one-thousandths of one penny (59/1000d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 17th day of December 1956.

THE Takapuna Borough Council hereby gives notice that the hearing of objections to the district scheme relating to the Borough of Takapuna will commence at the War Memorial Hall, The Strand, Takapuna, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon on Monday, the 18th day of March 1957, and will continue as there arranged from time to time and place to place until all objectors and witnesses have been heard.
