NELSON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the acquisition of land for housing purposes, and for such purposes the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Trafalgar Street and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Trafalgar Street.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, to execute a certain public work, namely, a municipal depot, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

WAITAKI ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waitaki Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100,000 to be known as Extension Loan 1956 authorised to be raised by the Waitaki Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Waitaki Electric Power District and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, the said Waitaki Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·1082 of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property of the said Board's electric power district, comprising the constituent districts of Oamaru Borough, Hampden Borough, Waitaki County, and part Waitamate County; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The Waitaki Electric Power Board, at its meeting on 18 February 1957, passed the above resolution.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Workers' Dwelling Loan 1952, £35,000—Balance, £15,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £15,000 authorised to be raised by the Waitemata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of workers' dwellings, the said Waitemata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-five thousandths of a penny (0·035d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the County of Waitemata; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year for a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution making a special rate passed at the meeting of the Waitemata County Council held at the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, on Thursday, 8 November 1956.

WAIRUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1956
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Wairoa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Wairoa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for advancing to farmers for housing, the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹/₂₂d. of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the County of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a varying period, until the loan is paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of the resolution making a special rate passed at the meeting of the Wairoa County Council held at the Council Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa, on Tuesday, 12 February 1957.
