PATUTAHI TOWN COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Patutahi Town Council,
at its meeting held on the 11th day of December 1956, has
resolved to prepare for the Town of Patutahi a district scheme
as required by the provisions of the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the
proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Patutahi Town District Scheme” should
be addressed to the Clerk, 279A Gladstone Road, Gisborne,
and delivered at the Clerk’s office on or before the 12th day
of March 1957.

OHINEMURI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Quarry Plant Extension Loan 1956, £2,600

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Ohinemuri
County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £2,600 authorised to be raised by the
Ohinemuri County Council under the above-mentioned Act for
the purpose of modifying and extending Council’s portable
crushing plant, the said Ohinemuri County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of 1/15d. (one-fifteenth of a
penny) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of
the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the County
of Ohinemuri comprising the whole of the County of Ohine-
muri; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly
on the 24th day of August in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 10 (ten) years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed by the Ohinemuri County Council at a meeting of the
said Council held on the 19th day of December 1956.

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other
powers it thereunto enabling the New Plymouth City Council
hereby resolves:

“That, for the purpose of providing the redemption pay-
ments payable in respect of a loan of £5,000, being the third
portion of a loan of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the
Council by an Order in Council made on 6 June 1956 and
published in Gazette, No. 34, of 14 June 1956, at page 784,
and interest and other charges thereon (which said loan of
£60,000 is the third issue of the Streets Improvement Loan
1953, authorised to be raised by the Council under the above-
mentioned Act by a poll of ratepayers, the result of such poll
being published in Gazette, No. 1, of 7 January 1954, at page
54), the said loan of £60,000 being for the purpose of the
construction of streets within the City of New Plymouth, including
(a) the reconstruction, grading, formation, metalling, gravelling
and surface sealing of carriageways and footways in streets;
(b) the construction and provision of channels, kerbs, and
retaining walls in streets; and (c) the provision and laying of
pipes and drains to convey stormwater from or under streets,
the Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one over
thirty-two parts of a penny (1/32d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth
(excluding, however, the area included in the City by Order
in Council made on 8 August 1955 and published in Gazette,
No. 52, of 11 August 1955, at page 1258); and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January
and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twelve years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.”

The above is a certified copy of a resolution passed at a
meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 17th
day of December 1956.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Garage and Store Loan 1956, £5,300

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a special meeting of
the Te Aroha Borough Council held on 18 December 1956,
the following resolution was passed:

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers in
that behalf enabling it, the Te Aroha Borough Council hereby
resolves:

“(1) That, for the purpose of providing the interest and
sinking fund on the Garage and Store Loan 1956, £5,300,
authorised to be issued by the Te Aroha Borough Council
under the above-mentioned Act, the said Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of decimal three two three
five two pence (0·32352d.) in the pound on all rateable
property in the Borough of Te Aroha, on the basis of the
unimproved value; and such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be
payable annually on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“(2) That a sinking fund be and the same is hereby
established in order to provide funds for the repayment of
the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.

“(3) That the Council shall pay to the commissioner of
the said sinking fund on the 1st day of February 1958 and
on every subsequent 1st day of February up to and including
the 1st day of February 1967 a contribution of not less than
four hundred and forty-six pounds ten shillings and sixpence
(£446 10s. 6d.).

“(4) That the said annual contributions are hereby per-
manently appropriated and pledged out of the special rate
made and levied by the Council for the purpose.

“(5) That, in pursuance of its power and authorities, the
Te Aroha Borough Council hereby appoints the Public
Trustee to be the sole commissioner of the sinking fund
hereinbefore provided for, and such appointment shall be
irrevocable, anything contained in the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act 1926 or in any other Act to the contrary notwithstanding,
so long as any moneys shall remain owing under the securities
to be issued in respect of the said loan.

“(6) That such sinking fund shall be dealt with and
managed as required by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926
and all other Acts or laws for the time being in force
applicable thereto, and all moneys coming into the hands of
the Public Trustee by virtue of this sinking fund shall be
dealt with by him in accordance therewith.”
