District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrants relating
to the Hobson Acclimatisation District notifying and declaring
certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals Protection-
tion and Game Act 1921-22 to the extent appearing in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
TROUNSON'S KAURI PARK
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1,077 acres, more or less, and being Section
33, Block XI, Waipoua Survey District. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan marked 4/50 deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington,
and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 10th day of December 1956.

District, as a Wildlife Refuge

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I,
Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant
published in Gazette, 11 February 1929, Volume I, page 445,
notifying and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under
the Animals Protection and Game Act 1921-22, in so far as
that Warrant relates to the Taranaki Acclimatisation District,
and hereby proclaim and declare the areas described in the
Schedule hereto to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of
the Wildlife Act 1953.
SCHEDULE
- CERTAIN AREA AT OPUNAKE
SECTIONS 1, 2, and 3, Block XVI, and Sections 1, 2, 3, and
4, Block XXVIII, Town of Opunake, and Sections 48 and 49,
Opunake Suburban. Area; 16 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or
less. All certificates of title, Volume 148, folio 80, Volume 138,
folio 28, and Volume 109, folio 194, and part certificate of
title, Volume 146, folio 129 (Egmont County). As the same
is more particularly delineated on the plan marked I.A. 52/356
deposited in the Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington
and thereon edged red. - AN AREA AT WESTOWN
All that area situated in Blocks IV and VIII, Paritutu
Survey District, containing 418 acres 3 roods 29 perches, more
or less, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost
corner of part of subdivision B (D.P. 1488) of Maori Reserve
5 (Ratapihipihi), and proceeding generally north-westerly
along the eastern side of an unnamed road to Barrett Road
and generally northerly along the eastern side of Barrett
Road to the north-western boundary of part Reserve D,
Omata District; thence north-easterly along the north-western
boundaries of part Reserve D, Omata District, and parts
Reserve C, Grey District, to the northernmost corner of the
last-mentioned Reserve; thence south-easterly along the north-
eastern boundary of part Reserve C, Grey District, to the
north-western boundary of Subdivision 2 of Maori Reserve 2
(Ararepe); thence north-easterly along that boundary and the
south-eastern side of an unnamed road to Cowling Road;
thence generally southerly along the western side of Cowling
Road and south-westerly along the north-western side of an
unnamed road to the south-western boundary of part
Subdivision 1 of Maori Reserve 2 (Ararepe); thence north-
westerly along that boundary to its junction with the south-
eastern boundary of part of Subdivision B (D.P. 1488) of
Maori Reserve 5 (Ratapihipihi), and thence south-westerly
along that boundary to the southernmost corner of the said
Subdivision B, being the point of commencement. As the same
is more particularly delineated on plan numbered I.A. 52/354
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

proclaim and declare the areas described in the Schedule hereto
to be wildlife refuges for the purposes of the Wildlife Act -
SCHEDULE
- MILL DAM AT WILLOWBRIDGE
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimate
County, containing 89 acres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P.
6074, and being part Rural Section 10774; part Lots 2 and 3,
D.P. 9735, being part Rural Sections 3074, 3334, and 10774;
and part of Buchanans Creek, situated in Block IV, Waitaki
Survey District, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the
north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6074, on the eastern side
of Willowbridge Road; thence north-easterly along a right
line to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 9735; thence
south-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the left
bank of Buchanans Creek and the eastern boundary of Lot 3,
D.P. 9735; thence southerly across Buchanans Creek to and
along the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 9735,
to the right bank of Buchanans Creek; thence westerly gen-
rally along that bank to a point due east of the southernmost
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 6074; thence westerly to that corner on
the eastern side of Willowbridge Road; thence northerly to
the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked
I.A. 52/107 deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red. - LAND AT WAINONO, SOUTH CANTERBURY
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waimate
County, containing 142 acres, more or less, being parts of
Rural Sections 9470, 13828, and 16694, situated in Block XII,
Waimate Survey District, and bounded as follows: Com-
mencing at the intersection of the southern side of Hook
Station Road and the eastern boundary of Rural Section 9470;
thence northerly to and along the eastern boundary of Rural
Section 9470, bearing 6° 38', distance 1500 links; thence
easterly along a right line, bearing 96° 38', distance 1500
links; thence south-easterly along a right line, bearing 153° 38',
distance 3850 links; thence south-westerly along a right line,
bearing 204° 38', distance 1750 links to the northern boundary
of Rural Section 16946; thence westerly along that boundary
and the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 1320, bearing
99° 26', distance 3500 links; thence northerly along a right
line, bearing 14° 26', distance 3250 links, to the point of com-
mencement, and as may be further defined by the erection of
white-painted posts.
As the same is more particularly shown on plan marked
I.A. 52/386 deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Warrant published
in Gazette, 21 February 1929, Volume I, page 445, notifying
and declaring certain areas to be sanctuaries under the Animals
Protection and Game Act 1921-22, in so far as that Warrant
relates to the Hawera Acclimatisation District; and hereby
proclaim and declare the area described in the Schedule hereto
to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act -
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District being Section 55,
Block I, Waimate Survey District. As the same is shown on
plan marked I.A. 52/325 deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Internal Affairs at Wellington, and thereon
coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 10th day of December 1956.
