ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western boundary of Block XIV, Oroua Survey District, being the north-western corner of Lot 25 as shown on the plan numbered 1235 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; thence southerly along the western boundary of that lot and its production to the middle of Sandon Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 17 as shown on the plan numbered 999 deposited as aforesaid, to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of that lot, the eastern boundary of Lot 4 as shown on the plan numbered 1635 deposited as aforesaid, and the production of that boundary to the middle of Ranfurly Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 8 as shown on the plan numbered 999 aforesaid, to and along that boundary and along the eastern boundary of the land as shown on the plan numbered A.1386 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington, to the south-western corner of the land as shown on the plan numbered A.3094 lodged as aforesaid; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the land as shown on the plan numbered A.3094 aforesaid, the production of that boundary to and along the southern boundary of Lots 40 and 45, the abutment of Osborne Terrace and the southern boundary of Lot 50 as shown on the plan numbered 2366 deposited as aforesaid, to and along the southern boundaries of Lots 11, 17, 16, and 15 as shown on the plan numbered 1351 deposited as aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Awahuri–Mangaweka via Kimbolton Main Highway; thence south-westerly along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 4 as shown on the plan numbered 2994 deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 7 as shown on the plan numbered 2994 aforesaid, across Kawakawa Road and along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 18 as shown on the plan numbered 2994 aforesaid, and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to a point in the middle of the Oroua River, the said point being on the boundary of the Manawatu County as described in Gazette 1941, at page 86; thence northerly along the boundary of the Manawatu County, being a line up the middle of the Oroua River, to a point in line with the intersection of the eastern side of the railway reserve and the right bank of the Oroua River; thence along a right line to the said intersection, being a point on the boundary of the Borough of Feilding as described in Gazette 1939, at page 1582; thence westerly and northerly generally along the southern and western boundaries of the Borough of Feilding, being the north-eastern side of the said railway reserve, the southern side of South Street, the eastern side of Awahuri Road, the southern side of Haggitt Street, the eastern side of Windsor Terrace, and the northern side of Glasgow Terrace, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 1 as shown on the plan numbered 2289 deposited as aforesaid; thence to and along that boundary and the northern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 as shown on the said plan numbered 2289, the eastern boundary of Lot 6 as shown on the plan numbered 999 aforesaid and its production to the northern side of Ranfurly Road; thence along that side of Ranfurly Road and along the western boundary of Lot 26A and part of the western boundary of Lot 26 both as shown on the plan numbered 999 aforesaid; thence along right lines bearing 314° 12′, distance 112 links, bearing 351° 40′, distance 292·8 links, to a point on the southern boundary of Lot 24 as shown on the plan numbered 999 aforesaid, distant 204·6 links from the north-western corner of the said Lot 26; thence along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 23 as shown on the plan numbered 999 aforesaid, and along the western boundary of that lot to Sandon Road; thence along the southern side of that road to its intersection with a right line parallel to and distant 1000 links from the western side of West Street; thence northerly along the said line to a point in the middle of Highfield Road, being a point on the boundaries of the Borough of Feilding aforesaid and the County of Manawatu aforesaid; thence westerly along the boundary of the County of Manawatu aforesaid, being a line along the middle of Highfield Road and the northern boundaries of Lots 24 and 25 as shown on the plan numbered 1235 aforesaid, to the north-western corner of the said Lot 25, being the point of commencement.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36

PURSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Rotorua County: All that area adjacent to Rotorua Borough consisting of Koutu Road, Kawaha Point Road (from its junction with Koutu Road to its north-eastern termination at Kawaha Point), Bellevue Road, Grand Vue Road, and Pah Road.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption from Usual Hand Brake Requirements of Euclid 7 Yard Scraper Model S-7

PURSUANT to regulation 10 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1936,* the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the adjustable scoop as fitted to the Euclid 7 Yard Scraper Model S-7 as a compliance with regulation 8 of the said regulations relating to the fitting of a hand brake.
