Highway to a point in line with the southern boundary of
Lot 4, D.P. S. 1616, being part Section 64, Block I, Waihou
Survey District aforesaid; thence along a right line to and along
the southern boundary of that Lot 4 and the southern boun-
daries of part Section 64 and Section 63, Block I aforesaid, and
along a right line to the point of commencement.

NGATEA-PIPIROA CENTRAL SUBDIVISION

All that area in the Hauraki Plains County in the South
Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a
point in Block I, Waihou Survey District, on the left bank of
the Piako River in line with the northern boundary of Lot 32,
D.P. S. 1739, being part Section 25, Block I aforesaid, and run-
ing westerly along a right line to and along that northern
boundary and the northern boundary of part Section 25 afore-
said, as shown on D.P. 11583, and along a right line, being
the production of that boundary, to and north-westerly along
the middle of the Pokeno-Paeroa State Highway to and south-
westerly along the middle of Rawe Rawe Road to and along
a right line, being that last-mentioned middle line produced to
the north-eastern side of the Pouaruua Road; thence north-
westerly along that north-eastern side to and north-easterly
along the middle of Hopai Road and along a right line, being
that middle line produced to and up the left bank of the
Piako River, to the point of commencement.

NGATEA-PIPIROA EAST SUBDIVISION

All that area in the Hauraki Plains County in the South
Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a
point in Block X, Thames Survey District, on the left bank of
Piako River in line with the middle of Hopai Road and run-
ing south-westerly along a right line to and along the middle
of that road to and north-westerly along the middle of the
Pokeno-Paeroa State Highway to and along the middle of
Appletree Road and along a right line, being that middle line
produced to the shores of the Firth of Thames; thence easterly
along those shores to and up the left bank of the Piako River
to the point of commencement.

NGATEA-PIPIROA WEST SUBDIVISION

All that area in the Hauraki Plains County in the South
Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a
point in Block I, Waihou Survey District, being the intersection
of the middle of the Paeroa-Pokeno State Highway with the
middle of Hopai Road, and running south-westerly along the
middle of Hopai Road aforesaid to and north-westerly along
the north eastern side of Pouaruua Road to a point in line with
the north-western boundary of Section 33, Block IV, Piako
Survey District; thence again south-westerly along a right line
to and along that north-western boundary and the north-
westerly boundary of part Section 31, Block IV aforesaid,
crossing an intervening public road and along a right line,
being the last-mentioned north-western boundary produced to
the middle of the Waitakaruru-Maukoro Canal; thence
northerly along the middle of that canal to and down the right
bank of the Waitakaruru River to and easterly along the shores
of the Firth of Thames to a point in line with the middle of
Appletree Road; thence along a right line to and along the
middle of that road and the middle of the Pokeno-Paeroa
State Highway to the point of commencement.

Special Order Made by the Ohinemuri County Council
Altering Riding Boundaries and Adjusting Representation

PURSUANT to section 100 of the Counties Act 1920 as amended
by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act 1921-22, the
Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following
special order made by the Ohinemuri County Council and
fixes the 14th day of November 1956 as the date on which
the said special order shall take effect.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by sections 23 and
59 of the Counties Act 1920, the Ohinemuri County Council
resolves by way of special order as follows:

(1) The present division of the County of Ohinemuri into
six ridings is revoked, and in lieu thereof the said County shall
be divided into seven ridings, to be called respectively Komata
Riding, Paeroa Riding, Mangaiti Riding, Townships Riding,
Waihi West Riding, Waihi Beach Riding, and Waihi Riding,
which said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule
hereto.

(2) The said Ohinemuri County Council shall consist of ten
members who shall be elected as follows:

(a) The electors of the Komata Riding, Paeroa Riding, and
Waihi Riding shall each elect two Councillors.

(b) The electors of the Mangaiti Riding, Townships Riding,
Waihi West Riding, and Waihi Beach Riding shall
each elect one Councillor.

(3) The alteration hereby made shall take effect at the next
general election of Councillors to be held in the month of
November 1956, except in so far and to such extent as may
be necessary for preparing any roll or otherwise providing for
that election.

SCHEDULE

PAEROA RIDING

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in Block XII, Waihou Survey
District, being the confluence of the middle of the Waihou
River and the middle of the Komata Stream, and running
generally easterly up the middle of the Komata Stream afore-
said, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 7,
Block X, Ohinemuri Survey District; thence along a right line,
to and generally north-easterly along the eastern boundary of
that Section 7 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5,
Block X aforesaid, along the southern boundary of the State
forest as described in Gazette 1935, page 2736, the south-
western boundary of Section 19, Block X aforesaid (State
forest, Gazette 1938, page 277), the western boundaries of
parts Ohinemuri Nos. 20E, 20A 3, and 20A 1 Blocks (State
forest, Gazette 1935, page 2736), the north-western boundary
of Section 17, Block X aforesaid (State forest, Gazette 1948,
page 810), to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary
of the State forest described in Gazette 1920, page 924; thence
along a right line across a public road, to and along the last-
mentioned north-eastern boundary and the generally western
boundary of the last-mentioned area of State forest, the gen-
erally northern boundary of Section 76, Block XIII of the
aforesaid survey district (State forest in Gazette 1947, page
928), to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary
of Section 2, Block XIII, Ohinemuri Survey District aforesaid
(Uriwha Native Reserve), to its southernmost corner; thence
along a right line due south, crossing the intervening Section
76, Block XIII aforesaid, to and along the northern and
eastern boundary of part Section 35, Block XIII aforesaid,
along the northern boundaries of Section 40, Block XIV of the
aforesaid survey district, Sections 93, 84, the north-eastern
and generally north-western boundaries of Section 21, and the
north-eastern boundary of Section 65, the aforesaid sections
being of Block XIII aforesaid, to and along the north-eastern
side of the road which forms the south-western boundaries of
Section 4, Block XIII aforesaid, and the Sanitary Reserve, to
its intersection with the eastern side of the Paeroa-Waihi
State Highway; thence along a right line due west across that
State highway and the Ohinemuri River, to and then southerly
up the left bank of the aforesaid river to the southernmost
corner of Te Rewarewa No. 2 Block; thence along the southern
boundary of the aforesaid block and its production across the
Waihi-Paeroa Railway, to and along the western side of the
aforesaid railway, the northern and western boundaries of
Lot 155, the western boundary of Lot 156, the western and
south-western boundaries of Lot 158, and the south-western
boundaries of Lots 157, 142, and 141, the aforesaid lots as
shown on D.P. 1757 being part Raratu No. 2 Block, the
north-western and south-western boundaries of Section 26,
Block I, Aroha Survey District, the south-western boundary
of Section 29, Block I aforesaid, the generally south-western
boundary of Section 33, Block I aforesaid, the western boun-
dary of Section 94, Block II of the aforesaid survey district,
to the north-eastern corner of Section 23, Block V, Aroha
Survey District aforesaid, thence westerly along the northern
and western boundaries of Section 23 aforesaid, the northern
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 13241, being part Waitoki Block, to
and along the eastern and north-western boundaries of Puke-
mokemoke No. 2B 2 Block, along the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 1, the abutment of a public road, the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 2, 3, 4, part 5, 6, and 7, D.P. 576, being
parts Te Paeroa Nos. 1A and 2 Blocks, the northern boundary
of Section 10, Block IV, Waitoa Survey District, the northern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 33235, being part Te Paeroa No. 1A
Block, crossing the intervening Te Aroha-Paeroa State High-
way, along the northern boundary of part Lot 8, D.P. 576
aforesaid, crossing the intervening East Coast Main Trunk
Railway, and along a right line, being the last-mentioned
boundary produced to the middle of the Waihou River; thence
northerly generally down the middle of that river to the point
of commencement, save and excepting thereout the Borough
of Paeroa as described in Gazette, No. 12, of the 19th day of
February 1925, page 570.

MANGAITI RIDING

All that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Waihou
River in Bleck IV, Waitoa Survey District, in line with the
northern boundary of part Lot 8, D.P. 576, being parts Te
Paeroa No. 1A Block, and running generally easterly along the
southern boundary of the Paeroa Riding hereinbefore de-
scribed, to and along the western and southern boundaries of
Section 94, Block II, Aroha Survey District, to and southerly
up the middle of the Mangakino Stream, to and westerly and
