Consent to Erection of Flashing Red Traffic Control Lights by Morrison, Downer, and Ferguson

Pursuant to clause (6E) of regulation 4 of the Traffic Regulations 1936 (as inserted by the Traffic Regulations 1936, Amendment No. 8), the Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights by Morrison, Downer, and Ferguson, contractors for the Mercer Power Station project, at the two places described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of clause (6D) of the said regulation 4.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED at Mere Mere on the Auckland-Hamilton State Highway No. 7 at the two points adjacent to the Mercer Power Station project more particularly indicated on Plan T.T. 2364 deposited in the office of the Transport Department at Wellington.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

Special Order Made by Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board Altering the Boundaries of Subdivisions and Adjusting Representation

Pursuant to section 2 of the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1920, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board.

SPECIAL ORDER

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Land Drainage Act 1908, and the Land Drainage Amendment Act 1920, and all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Hauraki Plains West Drainage Board doth hereby:

(1) Eliminate and revoke the subdivision formerly known as the Ngatea-Pipiroa Subdivision, and in place thereof doth hereby divide such former area named Ngatea-Pipiroa Subdivision into four separate subdivisions, to be known as follows:

  • Area No. 1: Ngatea-Pipiroa South Subdivision,
  • Area No. 2: Ngatea-Pipiroa Central Subdivision,
  • Area No. 3: Ngatea-Pipiroa East Subdivision,
  • Area No. 4: Ngatea-Pipiroa West Subdivision,

bounded as described in the First, Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules hereto respectively.

(2) Fix the number of trustees to be elected for each of the said new subdivisions as one trustee for each such new subdivision.

(3) This special order and the alterations thereto made shall come into force and effect on the 30th day of September 1956.

(4) Declare that the Puhanga Island Subdivision, the Waitakaruru Subdivision, and the Miranda Subdivision shall continue unaltered including as to names, boundaries, and number of trustees to be elected.

SCHEDULE

NGATEA-PIPIROA SOUTH SUBDIVISION

All that area in Hauraki Plains County in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Piako River in Block I, Waihou Survey District, in line with the southern boundary of Section 63 of that Block I and running generally southerly up that left bank to and along the eastern side of the Puhanga Canal to a point in line with the north-western side of Phillips Road; thence westerly along a right line to and along that north-western side to and north-westerly along the eastern side of a public
