A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, sub-
ject as to the land first described in the said Schedule to the right
to dam back the waters of the Waingongoro River created by
memorandum of transfer No. 19515, Taranaki Land Registry,
and subject as to the land secondly described in the said
Schedule to the water rights created by memorandum of
transfer No. 19593, Taranaki Land Registry, for a metal pit,
and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants
of the County of Eltham as from the date hereinafter men-
tioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the 19th day of November 1956.
