Pursuant to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 20 May 1932, and published in the Gazette on 26 May 1932, at page 1335, and affecting Rotomahana-Parekarangi 1c 2 and other blocks, by excluding therefrom the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 29th day of October 1956
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the members of the Ngati Whatua tribe residing at Oruawharo as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a church site and burial ground.

All that area of land situated in Block X, Otamatea Survey District, containing 2 acres 2 roods 3 perches, and being all of the land known as the Nuhaka Block; as is more particularly delineated on the plan numbered 21/3/310 lodged in the Head Office of the Department of Maori Affairs, Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Validating Receipt of Nominations by Returning Officer for Borough of Kumara

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas the Returning Officer for the Borough of Kumara, in giving public notice pursuant to section 12 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953 of the triennial general elections of the Mayor and Councillors of the said borough to be held on the 17th day of November 1956, appointed the 27th day of October 1956 as the day for the nomination of candidates instead of the 26th day of October 1956 as required by that section:
And whereas certain nominations of candidates for the said elections were received by the Returning Officer before noon on the day appointed by him in the public notice:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 100 of the Local Elections and Polls Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the nominations of candidates for the office of Mayor or of a Councillor received by the Returning Officer for the Borough of Kumara before noon on the 27th day of October 1956 shall be deemed to have been validly received by him and that those nominations shall be valid nominations for the purpose of aforesaid triennial general elections.

Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of November 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Whereas, by the Judicature Amendment Act 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor-General in Council and notified in the Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively, and that such appointment shall determine the division by which such sittings shall be held:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints and declares that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days at eleven o'clock in the forenoon, and hereby determines that such sittings shall be held by the respective divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder:
Tuesday, the 12th day of March 1957: By the Second Division of the said Court.
Tuesday, the 4th day of June 1957: By the First Division of the said Court.
Tuesday, the 10th day of September 1957: By the Second Division of the said Court.
