Reapportioning Representation on the Otago Central Electric Power Board

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 16th day of October 1956
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and section 39 of the Local Legislation Act 1939, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the provisions respecting the representation of constituent districts of the Otago Central Electric Power District on the Otago Central Electric Power Board made by the said section 39 and by an Order in Council dated the 13th day of October 1948 and published in the Gazette on the 21st day of the same month, at page 1297, and in lieu thereof hereby determines as follows:
(1) The number of representatives of each constituent district of the Otago Central Electric Power District on the said Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.
(2) The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.
(3) The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of such combined district.
(4) The first election of the representatives of the said combined district shall be held on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities.

Reapportioning Representation on the Golden Bay Electric Power Board

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:
(1) This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general elections of members of local authorities (hereinafter referred to as “the specified date”), save that paragraphs (2) and (3) hereof shall come into force on the publication hereof in the Gazette;
(2) The Takaka Riding of the Golden Bay County and those parts of the Anotoki and Waitapu Ridings of the said county situated within the Golden Bay Electric Power District shall together be a separate constituent district of the said electric power district;
(3) Those parts of the Pakawau and Aorere Ridings of the said county situated within the said electric power district shall together be a separate constituent district of the said electric power district;
(4) The number of representatives of each constituent district as aforesaid on the Golden Bay Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district;
(5) The first elections of the representatives of the said constituent districts shall be held on the specified date;
(6) The Order in Council dated the 8th day of October 1947 and published in the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month at page 1431, apportioning representation on the said Board, is hereby revoked.

(6) The Order in Council dated the 15th day of October 1947 and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month, at page 1705, reapportioning representation on the Otago Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby determines as follows:
(1) This Order in Council shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities (hereinafter referred to as “the specified date”).
(2) The number of representatives of each constituent district of the King Country Electric Power District on the King Country Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of that constituent district.
(3) The constituent districts which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be a combined district for the purposes of the said Act.
(4) The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the Schedule hereto by the letter “(P)” shall be the principal local authority of such combined district.
(5) The first elections of the representatives of the constituent districts of (a) part Taupo County (b) the Kaitieke, Owhanga, and Hunua Ridings of Taumarunui County (c) the Otunui, Pungapunga, Taringamotu, and Waimiha Ridings of Taumarunui County, and of the said combined district, shall be held on the specified date.
(6) The Order in Council dated the 5th day of June 1940 and published in the Gazette on the 6th day of the same month, at page 1331, apportioning representation on the King Country Electric Power Board, is hereby revoked.
