At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 16th day of
October 1956
Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excell-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as
from the date of the next general elections of the members
of local authorities, the Order in Council dated the 9th day
of September 1953 and published in the Gazette on the 10th
day of the same month, at page 1472, reapportioning repre-
sentation on the Marlborough Electric Power Board, by
omitting from the Schedule thereto the figure "3" opposite the
name of the Blenheim Borough and substituting the figure "4".

Exempting Residence Site Licence No. 5015 (Westport Mining
Registry) from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines
Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the
Governor-General hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE
THE residence site licence described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal
Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE
Residence site licence registered in the office of the Mining
Registrar under number 5015 and affecting all that piece of
land containing 3 roods 9 perches, more or less, being Sec-
tions 1, 30, and 31, Township of Stockton, in Block II,
Ngakawau Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General this 2nd day of October 1956.

E.D. (1075), is transferred to the Retired List "B", with effect
from 31 May 1956.

Appointment
Special Duties Division
Robert Ian Andrews (78424) is granted a short-service
commission in the Administrative and Supply Branch (Special
Duties Division), Regular Air Force, for a period of five
years, to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air
Force Officers. He is appointed to the rank of Flying Officer
with seniority from 17 September 1955. Dated 17 September
1956.

Retirement
Squadron Leader (temp.) John Everitt Seal (71412) is
retired, with effect from 5 October 1956.

with effect from 10 July 1955.

Promotion
Pilot Officer John Newton Leon Searle, B.COM., A.R.A.N.Z.
(130284), to be temporary Flying Officer, with seniority from
1 January 1955, with effect from 28 August 1956.

Transfer and Promotion
Flying Officer the Rev. Thomas Henry Sadlier (134149) is
transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch
(Special Duties Division) to the Chaplains Branch and is
granted the rank of Flight Lieutenant, with effect from 31
May 1956.

Extension of Commission
Flight Lieutenant Geoffrey John Fox, A.R.A.N.Z. (130070),
is granted an extension of his present commission for a period
of four years, with effect from 1 December 1955.

Transfers
Flight Lieutenant Hotorua Arnel Dean Meyer, D.F.C.
(70182), is transferred from the General Duties Branch,
Regular Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for
a period of four years, with effect from 6 October 1956.
Squadron Leader (temp.) John Ronald Day, M.B.E., A.F.C.
(130118), is transferred from the General Duties Branch,
Territorial Air Force, to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for
a period of four years, with effect from 14 May 1954.
Flying Officer Grant Leov Gascoigne (708326) is trans-
ferred from the General Duties Branch, Territorial Air Force,
to the Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period of four
years, with effect from 1 September 1956.
Flight Lieutenant Roy Elliott Hanlon, D.F.C. (70069), is
transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch
(Special Duties Division), Territorial Air Force, to the
Reserve of Air Force Officers for a period of four years, with
effect from 5 September 1956.
Flying Officer Ernest Norman Leech (132060) is trans-
ferred from the General Duties Branch to the Administrative
and Supply Branch (Equipment Division), in his present rank
and with seniority from 6 April 1955, with effect from 6 June
1956.

Revocation of Appointment of Urenui Domain Board and
Appointment of New Board

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the
Urenui Domain Board as published in Gazette, 24 February
1955, Volume I, page 281, and appoints

The Clifton County Council
to be the Urenui Domain Board to have control of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of
the said Act, as a public domain.
