of a Loan of £2,450,000

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 1st day of March
1955 consent was given to the raising by the Auckland Transport Board (hereinafter called the said local authority) of an amount of three hundred thousand pounds, being portion of a loan of two million four hundred and fifty thousand pounds known as “Modernisation and Development Loan 1951”
(hereinafter called the said loan):
And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of portion of the said amount of three hundred thousand pounds amounting to one hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty pounds (hereinafter called the said sum), is desirous of borrowing the said sum by hypothecation or mortgage, pursuant to section 34 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, of the debentures authorised to be issued in respect of the said sum:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act 1932–33 and section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act 1933, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the said local authority, pending the raising of the said sum, borrowing the said sum or any part thereof by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures to the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand at a rate of interest not exceeding 4 per cent per annum, such interest to be computed on the daily debtor balances in the accounts of the Corporation, repayable on demand, and hereby prescribes that the money borrowed by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said debentures shall, pending the raising of the said sum, be repaid by annual or half-yearly instalments equivalent to the instalments of principal which would have been repaid if on the first day on which any money is borrowed by such hypothecation or mortgage the whole of the amount hereby authorised to be hypothecated or mortgaged had been raised on the conditions already determined under the Local Government Loans' Board Act 1926.

Adding Land to the Fiordland National Park

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of a scenic reserve subject to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of the Fiordland National Park, and such land shall hereafter be subject to the provisions of the first-mentioned Act.
SCHEDULE
OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—PORTION OF ROUTEBURN SCENIC RESERVE
ALL that area containing 15,200 acres, more or less, situated in the Survey Districts of Caples, Dart, Hollyford, and Humboldt, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station Y in the Humboldt Survey District on the eastern boundary of Run 473; thence south-easterly on a bearing 139° 45′ to the watershed between the Hollyford and Dart Rivers; thence generally southerly along that watershed through Nereus Peak, North Col, Conical Hill, and Harris Saddle to Trig. Station N (Ocean Peak), Dart Survey District; thence westerly along the production of a right line from Upper Peak in the Dart Survey District to a point in line with the southernmost portion of the eastern boundary of Run 474; thence generally northerly to and along the eastern boundary of Runs 474 and 473 in Caples, Hollyford, and Humboldt Survey Districts to the point of commencement, be the aforesaid bearing more or less. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/309A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Adding Land to the Egmont National Park

Present:
THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948, shall as from the date hereof be added to and form part of the Egmont National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Egmont National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the first-mentioned Act.

Declaring Portion of Fiordland National Park to be Administered Under the Provisions of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being portion of Fiordland National Park, shall as from the date hereof be administered under the provisions of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908, but otherwise shall remain part of the said park.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—AIR STRIP AT MILFORD SOUND
ALL that area situated on the Cleddau delta, Milford Sound Survey District, containing 14 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point at 44° 40′ 02·5″ south latitude and 167° 54′ 27·2″ east longitude; thence north-easterly on a bearing of 37° 34′ for 150 links; thence south-easterly on a bearing of 127° 34′ for 4665 links; thence south-westerly on a bearing of 217° 34′ for 300 links; thence north-westerly on a bearing of 307° 34′ for 4665 links; thence north-easterly on a bearing of 37° 34′ for 150 links to the point of commencement. As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/300/21A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Declaring Separate Constituent Districts of the King Country Electric Power District

PURSUANT to section 11A of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 (as set out in section 2 of the Electric Power Boards Amendment Act 1953), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares as follows:
- That the Kaitieke, Owhanga, and Hunua Ridings of the Taumarunui County shall together be a separate constituent district of the King Country Electric Power District;
- That the Otunui, Pungapunga, Taringamotu, and Waimiha Ridings of the said county shall together be a separate constituent district of the said electric power district;
- That the Nihoniho and Tokirima Ridings of the said county and that part of the Ongarue Riding of the said county situated within the said electric power district shall together be a separate constituent district of that electric power district.
